Pint-size Flawless Acoustic Amplification by Fishman

The Fishman Loudbox Micro acoustic combo amp packs the winning feature set and fidelity of a much larger Loudbox combo, but this is the most portable Loudbox yet! With a weight of just over nine pounds, you can easily carry the Loudbox Micro using only one hand. Once you set it up, it delivers up to 40 watts of punchy power. The Loudbox Micro's main channel facilitates amplification, EQ, and reverb/chorus effects for an acoustic guitar. Amplification experts here at Sweetwater readily vouch for the acoustic channel's built-in preamp and flexible tone controls; versatile 3-band EQ offers countless ways to shape your guitar's character, which makes it easy to achieve a rich, authentic sound with practically any acoustic-electric guitar, regardless of its body shape, tonewoods, or other variables. The Loudbox Micro's second channel lets you connect a microphone for vocals (or you could mic up a pal's acoustic instrument for a jam session duet). Lastly, an Aux input and an XLR DI output extend utility even further by letting players patch in backing tracks or send signal to house systems, audio interfaces, and more — all incredible ways to enrich your musical world.

Professional sound meets intuitive controls

Premium mixers and preamp sound are a big part of the enduring credibility the Loudbox series has with performers. The Loudbox Micro offers robust Level, Gain, and EQ controls not only for your guitar but also for the microphone channel. You can readily sculpt guitar tones while shaping mic EQs separately. Such a fine degree of control is bound to facilitate a professional sound once you’ve explored the simple, no-frills control panel that keeps setup and adjustments fast and efficient. Beyond the basics, you can add rich spatial dimensions using the Reverb and Chorus controls. Plug in, dial in, and play with the kind of rich, real acoustic tone that makes for a memorable live performance.

Famous Fishman quality

Larry Fishman has developed a reputation for designing some of the best amplification devices in the field. Fishman amplifiers are known not only for their exceptional amplified tone but also for their durability and reliability — traits that have placed Fishman products in the hands of some of the most renowned players on the planet. In the Fishman Loudbox Micro, he has designed an amp that's powerful yet naturally portable, much like a great acoustic guitar. This amp is lightweight, but the sound will blow you away. The secret is great drivers, and the Loudbox Micro features two of them: a 5.25-inch woofer and a separate 0.8-inch tweeter. Together, these drivers make the Loudbox Micro much more than just a loud box. You get lows that sound warm and round, while highs are crisp and clear. This is portable amplification at its finest.

Fishman Loudbox Micro Features:

  • A robust, lightweight acoustic amplifier that weighs just over 9 lbs.
  • 40W of rich amplified tone that’s perfect for small rooms, busking, or rehearsals
  • 3 decades of Fishman design and engineering give you revered acoustic-electric sound quality
  • Separate channels for your guitar and microphone
  • All the controls you need — Phase, Gain, Low, Mid, High, Reverb, and Chorus for your guitar and Gain, Low, High, and Reverb for your microphone
  • Reverb and Chorus enhance performances with professional shine
  • Aux input for your smartphone and media players

Amps
Fishman amps are way cool. I've lugged amps and gear for a while. Compact but powerful.
I'm thanking the Sweetwater team for their support.
Thanks team.
Great little amp
I wanted an amp but needed something smaller for small spaces, also something that wouldn't shake the neighbors dental fillings. I did a lot of research for months to make sure I made the right decision. The micro had plenty of power and also had features that not a lot of other small amps have. I liked that it has reverb on both channels plus a chorus on the instrument side. It is compact for the small space but still provides plenty of power. Obviously it lacks some of the bass that larger speakers would have but it is plenty for me. Fishman is also a very responsive company. I contacted them with questions and they were very quick to return with answers. My sales rep Mark was also instrumental (pun intended) in helping me decide what would be best. Definitely a great purchase, and Sweetwater is the only source for me, and no I am not paid to say that! It is the way every company should be when it comes to customer support.

Way Better Than Expected
I bought one of these when I couldn't get the LB Mini and thought I'd end up returning it. The EQ of both the vocal channel and the guitar channel is excellent. I have found the effects to be just what I needed for a little added warmth and ambiance for vocals and guitar. If you are playing a coffee house style gig, it's probably all you need.

Here's where it gets good! I tried plugging it into one of my powered speakers. The vocal and guitar volumes on the LB affects the individual volume being DI'd to the powered speaker. The master volume on the LB affects only the volume of the LB micro itself. So in effect, you're using the LB micro channel EQ as a mini mixer and the LB speaker could function as a monitor. If you are thinking about the LB micro as a mixer, it seems to get about the same sound quality as my Allen & Heath ZED mixing board.

So if you're playing a small acoustic gig, you could just bring the LB Micro. If you need to be louder, you could just add a powered speaker for extra volume. Great product!

WOW
THIS thing is MIGHTY. Just what I wanted around the house! Easier than pulling my bigger amp out. Sound is typical FISHMAN!! Wonderful!! And always a helping hand at Sweetwater!! Thanks for the help, Eric!!
Just what I need
If your looking for a small at home acoustic amp to just amplify your tone this is your best bet. I'm sure if you were to play a small gig this would be good as well.

Want to make your guitar sound its best? Take it from the lifelong performers at Sweetwater and check out Fishman. If you've bought an acoustic-electric guitar, there's a good chance it came with Fishman electronics, but it's easy enough to upgrade your favorite instrument too - just ask the pros in Sweetwater's Guitar Repair Shop. Do you perform? Are you a singer/songwriter? We'd love to turn you on to Fishman's Loudbox amps and amazing pedals. But Fishman isn't limited to acoustic electronics. Many of us have tricked out our electric guitars with Fishman Fluence pickups and TriplePlay wireless MIDI systems too.
