I was pleased with the big sound. I already own a Roland Jupiter 80 which I dearly love and this vst added another library to it, doubling my J-8 capabilities. I also have the two Juno boards 60 and 106, both in premium condition which covers so much Roland territory! I've already used the Arturia J8v in the recording and I must say it is record-ready! The presets are pristine and need little other than level adjustment to fit in my tracks! It is like having a a J-8 in the room without having to worry about repairs and maintenance. It is right there accessible to my Logic Pro X when I call for a soft synth track. Simple and perfect!

I have been an avid user of Roland since my first synth purchase (Juno 106); the rich tones, easy programmability, and attractive layouts will always appeal to me. Unfortunately, the current price for a JP8 averages around $. Having played one several times, I've always tried to duplicate its sound (with some minor successes with my Juno 60, but could never match it. Arturia's emulation of this beast is as close to the real thing as I remember, and I love it! This is the fourth Arturia purchase I've made, and they continue to amaze me.
