Gator GKB-76 Slim Keyboard Gig Bag at a Glance:

Convenience and protection for the gigging keyboardist

Constructed of durable nylon, the GKB-76 Slim's exterior sheds water like a duck and keeps your gear high and dry. The lightly padded interior and three rubber skid strips on the outside prevent damage from impacts when you set the case down or bump into the stage door during load in. To keep your keyboard from flopping around, Gator added padded straps to make sure your instrument stays in place. On the front you'll find a large zippered storage pocket perfect for pedals, cables and other oft-forgotten accessories. The specially designed comfort carry handles are reinforced and easy on your hands even with larger loads. The heavy-duty zipper closure lets this case open up wide to make getting your keyboard in and out super quick and easy. And since it's a bag, it's much easier to tuck away than a large road case making your gigging life easier than ever!

Gator GKB-76 Bag is Awesome.

My search for the perfect bag started when I purchased two other keyboard gig bags (from other retailers) and had to return them both because of size, quality and handling requirements. While the price for the Gator bag was more, the size, quality and handling characteristics were WELL WORTH the extra $40. The quality of the thick canvas material on the outside, the softness of the material on the inside, the two zippers used to close the bag, the padding on all sides, rubber pads on the bottom edge and the design of the handles are awesome. (The handles are not the regular strap handles, they are rounded and rigid where you grip the handles but, drop out of the way when you unzip the bag.) The inside of the bag has very soft cloth material and there are two nicely padded straps (about 1" thick) that Velcro to another strap on the opposite sides of the bag to secure the keyboard. The pouch on the side of the bag is a bonus, allowing for a few extras. It has a high quality zipper as well.I use the bag to carry an 88 key Studiologic MIDI keyboard controller. The dimensions of the keyboard are 9"x49 3/4"x3". (iPad with an iRig interface works and sounds great) I designed and built a small wood table/stand (12"x48"x2) to mount the keyboard to and used metal legs from an old card table that fold up into the table/stand. I also designed and built a music stand that folds down over the top of the keyboard while stored. Total weight is 32 lbs. (The bag could easy handle twice that because of the quality of the material and design of the handles.)All this to say EVERYTHING fits perfectly in the bag and carrying it with everything in it is easy because of the slim size, durable construction and the easy grip of the handles. My review would not be complete if I didn't mention the professional and courteous nature of the sales force. Bottom Line: The question should be "If it costs more, is it worth it." and the answer is a definitive yes. I highly recommend this bag to any one considering it for their gear. Thanks Sweetwater, you guys are the best.

It's just ok

Got this to transport a Roland RD 64. It does the job well, but it doesn't have a shoulder strap. C'mon Man!! How you not gonna have a shoulder strap? Other than that it's pretty decent.
