Eight limiting algorithms provide an impressive array of tools
FabFilter Pro-L 2 includes four new limiting algorithms, providing you with a total of eight. Modern is destined to become your new go-to, with results that eclipse the popular Transparent and Allround settings from the previous version of Pro-L. Aggressive yields an over-the-top loudness that's ideal for EDM or heavy rock music. Bus is guaranteed to bring the perfect level of control to your drums and individual tracks, while Safe dials back the loudness in favor of a pure, distortion-free sound.
True peak limiting ensures distortion-free audio
If you're running a hot mix, its peaks can clip when they hit your D/A converter. That's why Pro-L 2 includes a true peak limiting mode. It examines not only the levels of each digital sample but also the levels of the analog signal that your D/A converter will produce. That way, if the analog signal exceeds the digital signal's peak level, it won't introduce distortion artifacts.

Thanks to the support for Dolby Atmos 7.0.2 and 7.1.2 formats with flexible surround channel linking, FabFilter Pro-L 2 is ideal for multichannel scenarios.
