Minifex Fex 800

I got this to use in a project recording studio, so that when tracking vocals, singers could get a little reverb in their monitor mix if they wanted, as I am monitoring through my audio interface to avoid latency and the interface can't do effects at 96k. I patched the a stereo pair of outputs to this unit then to the mini behringer headphone amp from this same series. It actually works fine for this. I tried a few used alesis and behringer rack effects units but they had issues with noise or hum. This unit is actually quieter than any of those. I won't give a 5 for minor issues but for my uses this is fine. The issues are the plastic housing which feels cheap but I'm not concerned cause it will just sit on my rack of effects in the studio so won't be transported or subjected to any abuse (on the other hand it is extremely light weight if that matters). The other is lack of specific control of parameters for the effects, but then I don't think that is really what this is meant to do. Meets my needs for very little dinero.

Great unit for the price

Great deal for the $$. Compact unit is nice for my rehearsal space. Set up time is just minutes. The 16 presets make it easy to just plug and play.
