Distinctly Vintage, Made-to-Rock Compressor!

Get to know them!

Legendary producer/engineer Eddie Kramer has worked with the best of the best. And we don't just mean the acts, though it's hard to beat spending studio time with Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Kiss. What we mean here is that Kramer's golden ear has been developed through working with the best audio equipment on the planet, including the world's most sought-after consoles and outboard gear. While not all of us have had the benefit of working in the best studios with iconic artists, we can now use the sophisticated plug-in technology from Waves to get our hands on unbelievably accurate models of the very gear Eddie trained his ears on. Meet the Spirits of a Generation plug-in series from Waves.

No studio is complete without a classic compressor rounding out your sound with vintage flavor and body. And with the Waves PIE Compressor plug-in, you don't get just any old compressor; you get an accurate model of one of classic rock's most trusted and venerable tools: the Pye. Waves used their cutting-edge modeling technology to get the PIE Compressor to sound just like the one Kramer used in historic sessions at London's renowned Olympic Studios. This British beast is regarded by many as one of the best bus compressors ever, period. And with the Waves PIE Compressor plug-in, its sweet sonic fingerprint is yours for the taking — complete with a meticulously modeled VU meter that gives you the vibe and behavior of its analog counterpart.

When you want to inject your studio with a bit of rock history DNA, this is the place to start — revel in the distinctly vintage and made-to-rock flavor of the incredible Waves PIE Compressor.
