Morph Any Voice into a Creature, Monster, or Robot
Modern film and game productions require monster, alien, and robot voices that are convincing enough to sell the scene, and Krotos built Dehumaniser 2 specifically for those tasks. This modular vocal processor lets you route a performance through pitch-shifting, granular, spectral, convolution, and vocoder modules in serial or parallel chains on a clear node-based canvas. Each node reacts to the dynamics of your input, so a growl tips into a roar the moment the vocalist pushes harder. A factory library of 100-plus presets helps you quickly create a believable creature, while a collection of real animal recordings layers in organic textures. Since it runs as a plugin inside most major DAWs, you can also automate it alongside the rest of your mix. For creature voices with real weight and personality to sell any scene, Sweetwater sound designers suggest making Dehumaniser 2 part of your workflow.

Build your own processing chains
Dehumaniser 2 delivers an entire signal path as a modular, node-based layout, so you always know where your audio is headed. Choose from 10 processing modules and run up to two instances of each in serial or parallel. Every module carries its own gate, EQ, and limiter, and a custom per-node drawer macro system keeps your most important controls a click away. No matter how complex the chain gets, it remains easy to read, reshape, and make your own.

Voices that respond to the performance
Dehumaniser 2 listens to your sources and responds in kind. Each node can engage based on the pitch or amplitude of your input, and you choose whether peak level, RMS level, energy difference, or pitch tracking sets the trigger. Envelope following tracks pitch and noise content as well as amplitude, meaning a breathy whisper and a full-throated scream can take different paths through the same patch. The sample trigger module also introduces animal recordings in much the same way, firing them by amplitude, pitch, or a range of audio descriptors. Sweetwater sound designers say that Dehumaniser 2's ability to let the performance drive the effect saves a lot of time in post-production and that whether you’re voicing the creature yourself or directing an actor, Dehumaniser 2 complements the character of every take.
Ready to enhance your session
Since it runs inside most major DAWs, Dehumaniser 2’s magic happens in the same session where you’re already cutting dialogue and adding other effects. Load it on as many tracks or buses as the scene calls for, automate hundreds of parameters, and assign MIDI control to perform changes in real time. The factory library hands you 100-plus presets and more than 130 high-quality animal recordings to start with, so Dehumaniser 2 will begin enhancing your project the moment you load it.
