Works like a Charm.

It's unfortunate that the user below me had a bad experience with this. Try contacting Audix, very nice people. For me, these come in handy and beat using stands. Makes micing a kit much less of a hassle and saves valuable time. May get another to use on the bottom of a snare while my Audix i5 is clipped on top.

It Works

I have been using Audix drum mics and the D-Vice for several years. The current version being sold is superior to the earlier version with the improved angle tigthenting knob. I have had no major issues with the D-Vice, but I do find getting the mic into the holder is challenging. I am always afraid I will break it if I use too much force. Additionally, if you have RIMS tom mounts, you cannot use the D-Vice because it will not attach the ring. For these two reasons I give it a 3.5, but don't let thes comments discourage you from purchasing. I think its a good product and you should consider it if you need a clean, simple way to mount drum mics.

Good but not great

The audix d vice is one of the better drum clips I've used, I just haven't found a clip that's exactly what I want. The clip lip breaks easily and I have gone through 4 clips now but still buy bc it's better than most which sucks to say haha. The mic clip occasionally comes loose and it's are to keep in same place over drum. Overall a good clip but could be improved. Best clip style I like is the sennheiser 604 Tom mics. It's the perfect clip but won't with my mics size.

Worthless mic clip

Have tried this on multiple drum kits and it won't fit on the rim. The grove that is supposed to be on the top wasn't wide enough. When I did get it to stay on it was wobbly and fell off when my tech was tuning the head. I'd avoid this clip, Audix makes a cheaper clip that works better but if you really want a good clip get the ones made by Shure, they're the best out there.
