Great Mic's for Punch Band Horns!

Our Sound for the Horn Section of our Praise Band has improved dramatically with these new "clip-on" Shure Mic's. We've always struggled with getting the horns to play into their mics so we can capture them in the mix. Problem Solved!

Great mic at a great price

This mic sounds great and clips securely to my tenor sax and my soprano sax. The Sweetwater rep did a great job recommending this model.

Very Versatile

I've used this mic for years on sax, clarinet (doesn't clip to bell; I made a simple adaptor to clip it to), acoustic guitar and mandolin. Very little feedback issues. I also bought a straight-line connection from Shure, and I simply screw the capsule into that, then strap it to my wrist: NO NEED to clip & unclip when switching instruments. For any but the loudest gigs, it picks up all the above instruments plus flute. Ideally, you'd tweak the EQ for different instruments, but on a typical gig I don't even bother. Very practical mic!

Great brass mic

This mic has worked really well both live and in the studio. Excellent response. Works well straight into the board or through any number of pre amps. I play trombone and it adds very little weight to the horn. Only problem is playing with a mute. Other than that, it's a good investment for any horn player. Not having to play into a mic with a stand is a joy.
