Roland BK-7M

I love the sounds they all sound great. The arranger part I don't use but I've seen it used and it's pretty good for a midi accordion, keyboard or even a midi guitar you can have a whole band backing you up. I bought one the day they came out I sold it and then I missed having the quality of the sounds and bought it again.

What an awesome module!!

As a keyboard player doing a variety of venues and working with different types of groups, I was really missing a piece to play SMF with a duet I do with a friend of mine. I had been using my Roland XP-80 to play the midi files that we used on occasion, but the 3.5 disk technology really hadn't been cutting it lately. I shopped around for awhile, and even entertained doing a rather large conversion of the files we use to work with my Korg Kronos. That's when I found this killer module. I was able to simply move the files directly off the disks and onto a flash drive, and bingo, they worked! However, that really wasn't the impressive part of this module. While I was excited to explore having all the live options with the background styles, I really didn't have any true clue just how good these sounded, how many were truly practical to just about anything you'd want to play, and how easy this is to use. You cannot go wrong with this great little piece of gear!!

Worth Every Penny!

Bought mine from Sweetwater April 2013. I have a one man band show using midi backup files I write using Cakewalk from my laptop. Use the unit as a sound module weekly now for over 3 years. Plays my midi files flawlessly and is still running like it just came out of the box. People at the gigs are still amazed at the sound. Andy was my rep; arrived from SWtr quick/ready to use.

Nice unit that does what it claims to do!

I am giving the BK-7m a 5.0 rating simply because IMHO it does everything it claims to do and does it well. I have been a user of Roland equipment since the early 80's and the BK-7m has made me another satisfied Roland customer. I have only had it a couple of weeks and look forward to becoming a proficient user. I have already purchased some 3rd party "Styles" on a USB flash drive and am greatly satisfied. However, research such a purchase as I understand there are some sellers of these Styles that do not have satisfied customers. Anyway, as a keyboard player for 35 years, I am 100% with the BK-7m and the current Sweetwater price ($1000) is great. This is my first "arranger" of any kind. Very cool for song writing inspiration.
