Evoking the core qualities of Xotic's original BB Preamp pedal, the 2-channel Xotic BB Plus serves up inspiring tones by the truckload. Channel A feels very amp-like and delivers an open tone with rich, complex harmonics. Channel B behaves like a booster, pushing your amp into transcendent overdrive without changing your fundamental tone. Both channels offer a myriad of tones independently, but it's when you stack them together that the magic really happens. Many of the guitarists here at Sweetwater use Channel A as a starting point, and Channel B as a highly configurable lead boost, but the possibilities are truly endless.

Each of the BB Plus's channels features its own compressor. Channel A's Comp button toggles between Hard, which utilizes a 500Hz corner frequency for powerful low-end punch, and Soft, which uses a 1kHz corner frequency to deliver phenomenal note separation. Channel B's Comp button works the same as Channel A's, but with a bit more gain and different corner frequencies. Channel B's Hard setting utilizes a 350Hz corner frequency and its Soft setting uses a 500Hz frequency. The BB Plus excels at both low-gain dirt and higher-gain lead tones.
