Ampeg BA-112

bought this for Jaegar, one of my twin 12 yr old sons, So he didn't have to take his Heritage 810 to school. Wonderful and he can carry it. I read numerous comments about the fan noise. Not sure what the big fuss is about. haven't noticed it. Perhaps the complainers aren't playing classic rock at the proper level. LOL at $300 its cheap (cost wise) when compared to the Ampeg SVT heritage amp and 810 being taken out of the house and possibly damaged. Thank you to our sales engineer, Chris.

Very nice!

Awesome sound! Tilt back feature is great. Very versatile in tone and volume. The lights on the front are very cool. Only downfall is that it has a rather loud fan and it is noticeable at bedroom levels.

I like it a lot.

Not for me

I purchased this bass combo since I was familiar with the first version of the BA-112 and liked it. The sound on the BA-112v2 is classic Ampeg, and the Scrambler overdrive is a great new built-in feature. However, be forewarned, this unit has a very loud fan. If you use it for gigging, I'm sure it's not that noticeable. But I bought it for a practice amp and could not get past the fan noise. I quickly returned it, and the customer service at Sweetwater made it easy.
