Eurorack Sampling and Real-time Reimagining
For too long, the realm of sampling has been seen as something entirely incompatible with Eurorack synthesis. While we know this isn’t true, 4ms has launched an aptly named 12HP Eurorack module that makes sampling in synthesis more accessible than ever: The Sampler. Using a microSD card, audio can be painlessly played, recorded, reversed, pitched up or down, and looped, opening new doors of performance and production possibilities for Eurorack rigs of any size. An included microSD card comes preloaded with hundreds of audio samples, and since all you need to record is a card, recordings can be as long as your card’s memory can accommodate! Samples are arranged into audio banks, which can then be selected from groups of 10, with starting positions and playback duration easily attenuated manually or via CV. Synthesists at Sweetwater appreciate the addition of the End Out jack, making for easy, streamlined synchronization for chaining loops together or cascading into other events.
