The Perfect Guitar for Any Style of Music

Taylor's 214 Deluxe acoustic guitar is a fantastic way to step up to Taylor quality. Its Grand Auditorium body has the width and depth of a Dreadnought, but its tapered waist and graceful contours make it look like a smaller instrument and impart balance and presence to the big sound, making it a favorite of recording engineers at Sweetwater. With its slender and fast neck, the 214 Deluxe plays like a Taylor, which is to say, effortlessly. With the 214 Deluxe, you'll feel well-equipped both on stage and in your studio.

Taylor 214 Deluxe Acoustic Guitar at a Glance:
  • Grand Auditorium body style, for exceptional treble zing
  • Solid Sitka spruce top gives you wonderfully clear and balanced tone
  • Premium ebony fretboard plays incredibly smooth
Grand Auditorium body style, for exceptional treble zing

Taylor's beloved Grand Auditorium body style, featured on the 214 Deluxe, employs the width and depth of the Dreadnought; however, its waist is narrower, which gives Grand-Auditorium-bodied acoustic guitars a sleeker look and more treble zing. The body style also helps to sharpen the definition of each note. From fingerpicking to medium strumming, the Grand Auditorium is a great choice for nearly every playing style.

Solid Sitka spruce top gives you wonderfully clear and balanced tone

To give the 214 Deluxe full tone and clear projection, Taylor added a solid Sitka spruce top to its layered rosewood back and sides. The characteristically open sound of this spruce top really balances the tone, making it a wonderful guitar for any style of music you play.

Premium ebony fretboard plays incredibly smooth

You'll feel right at home playing the Taylor 214 Deluxe acoustic guitar. Its ebony fretboard sets an exceptional foundation for your fretting hand, and it feels incredibly smooth. From playing chords to single-note melodies and runs, the Taylor 214 Deluxe is a joy to play.

Taylor 214 Deluxe Acoustic Guitar Features:
  • 6-string Grand Auditorium body delivers huge, balanced tone
  • Solid Sitka spruce top balances tone and enhances projection
  • Sapele neck with ebony fingerboard play fast and smooth
  • All-gloss body finish
  • Taylor hard case included
The Taylor 214 Deluxe is a great guitar for players of all styles!

What can I say, Taylor Quality, Great Tone

As a casual player, just playin for my self, wanted to get into the Taylor and Martin genre without breaking the bank. This one sounded like it was a winner. At first I was skeptical of the laminated body, but this thing is awesome. No "Ritchlite" finergerboard, solid ebony. Finish was immaculate, no flaws, no complaints from me. Sounds awesome. Most of my other acoustics are mahogany. This one has a more subdued tone, but will blast out the high notes and sounds very sweet. For the price, I feel it is an excellent deal. I have had the older Martin DR road series with rosewood body, but this one sounds brighter. Anyway, for the price, you can have a nice Taylor with a great sound and excellent finish. And the case is really fantastic. Sweetwater is there all the way. They sent pics, followed up with me on how the purchase and shipping went and even called. Great service. I am very happy.
Music background: Long term amateur player, some band time. Playing since 1970

Taylor 214dlx

Great playability, sound and price. The neck and nut spacing make this guitar almost play itself. It has a very bright and crisp voice across the whole spectrum and for $700 for a Taylor with hard shell case it's a great buy! Nice finish and shipping and handling .... Thanks Sweetwater!

Amazing tone

Had to do a little setup to get it to fit me but I bought a demo. Although it was a demo it was spotless. Not a dent, ding etc and the tone of this guitar is outstanding. I've had several Taylor's and this is the second to cheapest I've had but by far the best sounding. Very very rich/ full sound and looks beautiful. Very very happy
