The Focusrite Clarett+ USB interfaces improve on the previous Clarett series interfaces’ top-notch performance, with upgraded specs that result in the best-sounding Claretts yet! The Clarett+ series consists of three models that differ significantly in terms of I/O — the Clarett+ 2Pre, the Clarett+ 4Pre, and the Clarett+ 8Pre. However, all three units offer the same professional-grade sound and reliability. There’s a Clarett+ Interface for Everyone

The Clarett+ series offers three separate models that are adapted to specific production scenarios. The Clarett+ 2Pre is the smallest of the three, making it excellent for home studios, solo artists, and content creators. Two Clarett+ mic preamps, two JFET instrument inputs, four analog outputs, 5-pin MIDI I/O, and an optical in for extending the number of inputs are all included. It’s also bus-powered, so you can record and mix on the fly. The Clarett+ 4Pre has all the same features as the Clarett+ 2Pre, but it has four preamps and four additional line outputs, as well as S/PDIF I/O and a second headphone socket with independent volume control. The Clarett+ 4Pre is ideal for recording small ensembles, and Sweetwater’s electronic music producers use it to record numerous sequenced hardware synths live. The Clarett+ 8Pre is a great option for advanced project studios and professional applications. With eight Clarett+ preamps on tap, this rackmount Clarett+ increases the channel count even more. It also has eight analog line outputs, a word clock output, and LED meters on the front panel.

Enhanced Sonic Performance

The Clarett range has steadily improved since its debut in 2015, and the Clarett+ series is no exception. Enhanced, independent AD/DA converters and updated headphone outputs are among the major upgrades in this highly regarded line’s current generation. The redesigned DA converters in the Clarett+ interfaces provide a wider dynamic range and improved sound clarity. Furthermore, a reduced noise floor means that even when recording quieter sources, you’ll obtain excellent results.

Includes Focusrite’s Renowned Air Circuit

Focusrite continues to equip the Clarett+ interfaces with the Air circuit found on prior Clarett iterations — an analog emulation of the Neve-designed Focusrite ISA One. When the Air circuit is activated on a preamp, it changes the input impedance and adds a gently sloping analog filter with a 3dB boost at 24kHz and a -3dB cut at 335Hz. The Air circuit is a favorite feature of engineers at Sweetwater for opening the top end on vocals; adding sparkle to acoustic guitars, pianos, and cymbals; and giving synths, drum machines, and other electronic instruments a hi-fi sheen.
