Plug In and Play Anywhere
Equal parts portable instrument amp and disco-lit speaker, the Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-Amp features a rugged, splash-proof chassis with a built-in handle, a 30-watt woofer and 25-watt tweeter, and an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The top panel includes an XLR mic input, a 1/4-inch guitar input, and 1/8-inch stereo line-in and line-out jacks. You also get a USB-C port that functions as an audio interface and an EP-Plug port that accepts audio from compatible synths, thumb drives, and other audio devices. Dedicated knobs control the built-in guitar and mic effects, and a multifunction mode button handles USB playback and Bluetooth streaming. Behind the rear grille is an illuminated storage compartment with a camp light, which can be turned off or set to disco mode. The compartment also holds the secondary controls: microphone gain and guitar gain knobs, 48-volt phantom power, a hi-Z button, a global Tone knob, and a mute button. Additionally, bidirectional Bluetooth with Auracast lets multiple K.O.-Amps sync wirelessly for a larger multi-speaker setup. Whether you’re looking for a battery-powered practice rig or an outdoor-friendly party box, Sweetwater suggests the EP-35 K.O.-Amp as a flexible — not to mention fun — solution.

Connect everything from mics to synths
Thanks to a thoughtful combination of analog connections and digital ports, the K.O.-Amp accommodates everything from old-school mics and instruments to modern devices. The XLR mic input lets you plug in your microphones and acoustic instruments, while the 1/4-inch guitar input accepts your electric guitars and basses. The 1/8-inch stereo line-in and line-out jacks are tailor-made for routing smaller synths or the EP-136 K.O.-Sidekick mixer. The USB-C port allows you to use the K.O.-Amp as an audio interface with your computer or smartphone, while the EP-Plug port accepts audio from USB-C-equipped synths, such as the OP-1 Field or EP-133 K.O. II, as well as USB thumb drives and EP accessories. Moreover, the K.O.-Amp offers bidirectional Bluetooth, so you can stream audio from your smartphone or broadcast it to multiple K.O.-Amps in Auracast mode.

Dial in your tone, then dial up the fun
The Teenage Engineering EP-35 K.O.-Amp's top panel hosts your primary performance tools. Alongside the main power button and volume dial, you get dedicated mic and guitar effects controls with dedicated mix dials. You also get a multifunction mode button that lets you pause, play, and skip between songs on a connected USB thumb drive, stream from a Bluetooth device, or cycle through stations on the internal FM radio when used in conjunction with the sold-separately Amptenna. Removing the rear grille reveals an illuminated storage compartment with a camp light that includes a party-ready disco mode. The compartment also contains an assemblage of hidden controls, including microphone gain and guitar gain knobs, 48-volt phantom power, a hi-Z button, a global Tone knob, and a mute button.
Teenage Engineering: serious gear, playful design
From its studio in Stockholm, Sweden, Teenage Engineering dreams up instruments, speakers, and innovative gear for musicians who’d rather twist knobs and follow their ears than dig through menus. It all started with the OP-1, a portable synthesizer that debuted at NAMM in 2010 and won over musicians with its playful look and deep sound-shaping capabilities. That same thinking now runs through a catalog of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, mixers, portable speakers, and more. Every product takes shape under the company’s own roof, and the Teenage Engineering spirit is alive in each instrument: serious engineering wrapped in approachable minimalism, inviting you to pick it up and start making music.
