Ibanez Premium SR1305SB Bass Guitar - Magic Wave Low Gloss Reviews
Here at Sweetwater, we're fortunate to get our hands on some of the finest instruments available today, and we can confidently say that the Ibanez Premium SR1305SB 5-string electric bass guitar punches above its price range in every way. Sporting a sleekly contoured African mahogany body, a gorgeous ash/panga panga top, a rock-solid 5-piece panga panga/purpleheart neck, and a bound panga panga fingerboard, the SR1305SB is a boutique-quality instrument with impeccable playability. That quality is borne out of its pair of aggressive Nordstrand Big Break pickups, which deliver massive, roaring tone infused with monumental sustain. The 5-piece neck is graphite reinforced with KTS titanium rods, with premium tuners on one end and a Mono-rail bridge at the other. Ibanez's Custom 3-band EQ completes the setup.

Versatile and Easy to play
This bass replaced my Ibanez BTB Cerro 805 Bass (with my upgraded the pickups to the Nordstrand Big Split 5). This bass has all the thump and all the clarity of high end jazz basses in my opinion. I use this bass in both Rock, Blues/Jazz, and Easy Listening Music and there's no other bass I have had experienced that can do it all. Very well constructed, easy to play, fret, and the string spacing is perfect. Have no need to try anything else. I named her HAZEL. I'm constantly impressed with this instrument after several practices, gigs, and events. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Absolute Beauty and Tone
The Nordstrand Big Break pickups have great clarity and punch, the action is incredible all the way around, and it's a beauty. You'll not be disappointed in this Bass. Such a privilege to play something so tight and easy to play. I can't find a negative.
This things like magic
This bass does everything really well, sits beautifully in the mix, love the nordstrands, I actually use this as my main player passively .
Between the atlas neck, the well engineering of all including the bridge, then add the medium frets, this thing truly is a real players bass with as good of a B string as anything out there, yes I said it..
I've owned and tried a whole lot of basses in my time and I will tell you that you will never spend a better 1500 bucks than this bass, or the other premium or prestige From Ibanez.
Amazing bass!
This is the most versatile bass I have ever played.
I have owned all kinds of basses in the 25+ years I have been playing and I can tell you this is the best of them all!
The tonal range is brilliant! Any sound any style this thing will get the job done. So if you love to play funk to blistering metal this is your bass even if you don't buy the 1305 like I did buy a Ibanez!
Another great Ibanez Bass!
I have owned several Ibanez basses (as well as a few others) and have always appreciated the quality and tone of these basses. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that after about 2 weeks, the volume knob became loose. I had to remove the knob and tighten the nut on the pot, an easy fix that I could do myself. This is the only "problem" I've ever had with an Ibanez bass. The tone and playability are great, I haven't really had the time to tweak the action/string spacing but Sweetwater did a great job of getting it ready to play right out of the box. I've only had a chance to play it on 1 gig so far but I'm looking forward to playing it for a long time.
