Very Pleased!
First of all, a big thanks to Sales Engineer Nick Church for helping me with my search for a reasonably-priced 12-string acoustic-electric! I saved a little money on this "demo" model. Nick sent photos and explained a few minor scratch issues which turned out to be unnoticeable. This Ibanez just feels, looks, and sounds beautiful! The guitar was delivered just two days after I ordered it. Very pleased with the Sweetwater experience!

I recommend this guitar model to many who love the brand Ibanez.The guitar is made under a natural tree and it from my point of view makes a guitar better.The fact that the guitar is not fully varnished makes the wood of the guitar much softer in sound.I have another 12 string electric acoustic guitar Ibanez,which is completely covered with varnish,and because of this, the acoustic sound of the guitar is more deaf and does not have a soft sonorous melodiousness.The pickups on both guitars are the same.In its price category, this guitar model deserves to be called very good or maybe excellent for someone.I recommend.
Great Guitar For The Price!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this Ibanez 12 string but pleasantly surprised at how good this guitar sounds at the price point. Very rich mids and highs, and good tight low end. It was set up well out of the box, I have no need to take it to my local shop for a setup. I'm very pleased at how it plays and sounds!

I got this Ibanez Open Pore 2 days ago and I just now got a chance to get it out of the box, look it over and play it. I love how the finish looks. Made a small adjustment to the neck, lowered the bridge action by a 16th", and applied some nut sauce. Now the action is perfect for my liking. Bar chords are clean & easy, and I can play high up on the neck with accuracy for a 12-string solo now and then. The intonation is very precise. When I plug it in and play it through my system, I can only say it sounds heavenly fat, just like an acoustic 12 string should sound. The Fishman electronics on this are just plain top-notch, especially the tuner. The Open Pore is well worth the $$$ and I'm going to use it regularly for live performances. LOVE it. Can't put it down SWEET setup by engineer at Sweetwater. This is my 5th 12 string and my favorite. LOVE the tone feel and size Arrived packed expertly for safe passage Stays in tune nicely. If you play a 6 string you can play this. I am 71 years old with some old arthritis and still playing and loving this.

Well rounded 12 string
I bought this guitar before I had spent a lot of time playing a 12 string. Generally, I like the complex sound of a 12 string but have a hard time getting past the "twang". I was hoping that the full mahogany body would reduce the twang, which it did, but not quite to the extent that I wanted. The sound was great and had the crisp high shimmers you crave from a 12 string as well as a deep, full, and warm bottom end. Sounds fantastic plugged in and is easy to play. I ended up deciding that a 12 string wasn't exactly what I was looking for and replaced it with the 6 string version (equally great sound) though it was really hard to do this after hearing how great "Over the Hills and Far Away" sounded on this thing.
