Neck designed for fast, comfortable playing

Made from solid maple with a maple fingerboard, the neck on Squier’s Affinity Series Telecaster is designed to deliver a powerful, robust tone and smooth playability — ideal for blistering lead runs and chords up and down the neck. The 21 medium jumbo frets provide you with added playing comfort, so you can continue for hours without hand fatigue. Bends, runs, fingerpicking, and flat-picking all sound great on this beautifully designed, comfortable neck.

Reviews

Great telecaster for a beginner!

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews in terms of build quality, especially with the frets and the neck- but I'll say it's been extremely smooth and comfortable to play, I've never hurt myself on any sharp frets, maybe I got lucky with my guitar having a good build, or Squier really stepped up the quality. If you're hesitant to spend an extra $ as a beginner on a name brand Fender, I think this one's a great economical choice for a beginner who isn't gonna go crazy chasing perfect tone while learning. I'm a beginner with only a few months playing acoustic, so I can't say I "know better" but for what I need it for, it sounds great to me and

Paired with a mustang LT25 amp, I've had a blast learning my favorite rock tunes over the last month

Or so. Really loving this Telecaster, one day I'll have to try an American 2 fender or something else with a bigger price tag and see the differences, but for the time being,

This will serve me well.

At Last I have my Telecaster!
I have been playing the guitar for over 50 years when my Father purchased me my first guitar at the age of 9 years old. Since then I have played and owned many different guitars except a Telecaster, until now! I have finally received my Telecaster as a gift from my wife. This Telecaster is wonderful. The setup, fit & finish, feel, sound and overall playability is awesome!
Music background: 50 years of Guitar and Bass
Absolutely love it!!!
I have wanted one of these telecasters for as long as I've been playing, and this one has scratched that itch perfectly! The string through body with the cut-out for my dad bod belly makes it super comfortable to play, and the maple neck and fretboard is the icing on the cake...I am strictly a play-for-fun kinda guy, and this guitar is capable of much more than I am! Shout out to Erik Bothwell for making this such an easy decision and smooth transaction, and to Sweetwater overall for and exceptional product and fast shipping. I have bought from Sweetwater before, and will come back to them for any future on-line purchases-THANK YOU!

My Squire "Telle" plays better than the one hanging in the store with "Fender" written on the head piece. The only thing about it now is that the price has gone up $ since I Purchased mine.
The Telecaster is a great instrument among many. Oh yea, I still have my '62 Jazzmaster I got from Mr. Leo in Fullerton, Calif.

If this thing doesn't rock then there isn't no such thing! Got mine and one for a friend. Lovin' it!
