Excellent!

Guitar is very, very nice for the price and sounds great!

Fantastic for the price!

By Bruce Bullman from Ellisville, MS on July 5, 2022

Great tele for the price. It was well setup from the factory. I tweaked the intonation a little but I'm obsessive about setup. It was very well packaged from the factory and from Sweetwater. The factory packaging is basically 1 and a half boxes and Sweetwater put that in another outer box with some bubble wrap. Much better than some other guitars I've received from retailers that were wrapped and put in a single box. This is my first tele, my first maple fretboard, and my first guitar from Sweetwater. I'm very very happy about all 3.

Pretty Nice Tele!

By El Fig on February 17, 2022

I've bought a Squire Tele two years ago that sounded nice but needed fret leveling in order to make it playable. Once fixed that issue, the pickups were replaced but weren't that bad, as well as the tuners. Having said that, the fretwork on this one was excellent, no sharp ends and no fret buzzing whatsoever with a pretty low action. The biggest surprise were the pickups. They sound awesome and will stay in this guitar, as I fell in love with the tone. Tuners hold tune well, but will replace with locking tuners as I do on all my guitars. The neck is just perfect. I prefer this axe over my MIM Strat hands down.

Wow

Beautiful finish. Neck is fast and comfortable.
Great working with the sales engineer, Chris.

Couldn't beleive it!

By Marion on January 26, 2022 Music Background: Luthier/Professional musician

I ordered this expecting a cheap project guitar. I had already ordered upgrade alnico pickups and upgraded electronics. The guitar arrived, well packed, and I was amazed when I took it out of the box. First of all, it was beautiful. As expected, like any new guitar, it needed a little setup. I love the sound of the ceramic pickups and it as surprisingly quiet for a single coil instrument. The tuners work great and, after playing it for a while, the flat finish on the neck has smoothed out nicely.

Bottom line: I kept the original pickups but did change out the electronics with a 4 way switch only to give me a extra tone option; however, it sounded great out of the box. I own a number of nice, brand name, electric guitars but this is the one I go to first now! My only complaint is that they have unnecessarily enlarged the Telecaster style head stock!!!!

Fender Telecaster Guitar

The guitar arrived in two days in perfect condition thanks to the superb packing at Sweetwater. I want to compliment Domenic Saracina for all the great help. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful at every stage of the ordering process. Your system of assigning a Sales Engineer to work with each customer is the best I have ever seen. With me, Domenic has made a friend for life. I am sure we will do more business in the future.

Great Guitar

By Sweetwater Customer from Missouri on December 3, 2021

I grew up on country music, but as I got older I was drawn to Metal. While I still love me some chunky metal riffs, I am having way more fun playing rock and country covers. I got this guitar because I thought it would sound better with what I am currently playing and I was correct. This guitar sounded awesome out of the box and it is making me want to push my skill level. I am not some crazy awesome lead guitarist or tech guy, however, I think any level of player will love this guitar!

Squire Affinity Series Telecaster electric guitar

This guitar was on my husband's Christmas wish list. I would love to say I know something about guitars but I don't. However, my husband, who has been playing guitar for more than forty years is loving this guitar for its price point. He said it plays very well and he likes the sound. My experience with Sweetwater has been wonderful, from placing the order to a call from Jake checking in. Thanks, Sweetwater for being a great company to work with and for having such a great staff!

Rough Neck

By Carl on December 28, 2021 Music Background: Playing guitar 45 years

I bought this for my grandson in November. Frets are jagged. Have a buzz on neck that I cannot get rid of. Sound is fine. Looks amazing. Would not buy again. Spend more to avoid this nightmare.

Worst guitar I’ve purchased

By Sweetwater Customer from IL on February 4, 2022

I've had at least a dozen squires over the last 30 years with good luck but this one is junk. Sounds/ looks great but the fretwork makes is literally unplayable. It's brand new and it needs the frets leveled and crowned before it can be playable. Not to mention that the fret ends past the bottom E string from the second to seventh fret are so long and sharp they actually cut my hand as I was unpacking it. Save your money or buy a used fender… A $50 pawn shop squire has a good chance of being a better investment. This thing is eBay Chinese no name guitar quality. Honestly

Buyer Beware..

By James from Kentucky on January 15, 2022

I've had this guitar for a little over a month and I've experienced the same problem twice. The input jack is utter trash on this particular instrument. I'm hoping for either a refund or another guitar. After this experience with Squier/Fender, I'm done.
