The 21 medium-jumbo frets provide you with added playing comfort, so you can continue for hours without hand fatigue. Reviews

As good as early 2000's MIM

I was shocked by this guitar. Dont worry, its grounded properly. The whole guitar is setup extremely well. 1.25 action. No buzz.

Frets are all smooth but the cut was sloppy. Lots of wood filler in the tang slots. But it won't cut anyone. Polished frets too. Smooth as glass during bends.

Now the cons:

These cons are not with this guitar but a slight misrepresentation of the instrument you are being presented.

The guitar pictured had a skunk stripe neck. Mine does not.

The guitar pictured shows a glossy poly finished fretboard. Mine is not finished.

Am I disappointed? Slightly. I was way more disappointed before I started playing with it.

Now that I have a few hours on it im pleased as punch. Just the overall feel is phenomenal.

The belly cut is a really nice comfort touch.

The bridge is awesome (intonation is the only setup I had to do)

best budget guitar over ever had
Blown every other budget guitar I've owned out the water.

Will recommend this to anyone.
Telecaster review
Holy cow. This thing is amazing! It sounds great for any genre, jazz to metal. It didn't even need a setup right out of the box. It looks even better than in the pictures. (At least the sunburst did.) No frets popping out, great tuning stability, and overall a great guitar. Has the signature fender telecaster sound without actually being one. Also I would like to mention that this guitar sounds and plays like a real fender and I could honestly see the pros shredding with this on stage. This is the first guitar I would recommend to ANYONE wanting to play guitar. Just amazing.
Arrived in perfect condition!
The package arrived in perfect condition. The guitar was packaged so carefully, in 2-3 boxes, with foam, extra cardboard to keep everything in place, and bubble wrap. I would definitely recommend buying from Sweetwater! The candy is an added plus.
Squier Affinity Telecaster

I bought the Squier Affinity Telecaster in two burst. The color looked a lot like the $ Fender Delux Tele also available from Sweetwater. I saw some videos extolling the Affinity. I also saw many more videos on You Tube deriding the Affinity. I liked this Affinity a lot. The color was nicer in person. The neck had either light finish or no finish. It had the bare wood feel. This finish was very similar to my $ Yamaha Pacifica 1611MS neck. I don't know if I got lucky or if Squier upgraded their QC. My action was very satisfactory and I would consider it low action. I thought the nut was cut well. I liked the sound of these ceramic magnet pickups a lot. I did play the guitar fairly loud on my PA system but did not detect any squealing or electrical interference. Jared Huth was my sales rep and I thought he did a nice job keeping me updated. I have purchased almost a dozen guitars on line in the last ten years and Sweetwater packed my guitar more securely than any other company! Will buy from Jared again.

Music background: Intermediate player, took lessons for a year, been playing30 years.
