Part Charvel. Part Jackson. Totally Armed to the Teeth.

Two guitar icons come together in the Charvel Pro-Mod DK24. Its alder Jackson Dinky body is light in the hands and contoured against the body, while a graphite-reinforced Charvel Speed Neck remains rock solid as it ages. Charvel's familiar 12"–16" compound-radius fingerboard flattens out nicely in the upper registers, giving technical players the speed and expression they need for bends, runs, and vibrato.

What we think is really special is the Pro-Mod DK24's diversity of tones on tap, via twin Seymour Duncan humbuckers. The bridge-position Full Shred SH-10's searing 14.1kΩ DCR nicely offsets the neck-position vintage-output Alnico II Pro APH-1N. Together, these pickups deliver everything the modern player can expect to encounter, from fusion to prog and beyond. A recessed Gotoh tremolo system texturizes chords and leads without jeopardizing your tuning.

Iconic Jackson body style

Grover Jackson's Dinky body style is to hard rock and metal what the Camaro is to drag racing. Contoured and lightweight, the Dinky provides the hardline visuals, comfortable carry, and unlimited high-fret access that modern players demand.

Diverse Seymour Duncan pickup set

If you’re a single-guitar performer like many of us at Sweetwater, you’ll particularly love the Pro-Mod DK24’s diverse tonal potential. For drive, the Full Shred SH-10 bridge humbucker packs a big, focused low end and about as much sustain as you can get from a passive alnico pickup. And when you need to clean up, the Alnico II Pro APH-1N neck humbucker is a breath of fresh air. This pickup boasts great touch dynamics and a sweet, bluesy top end that’s perfect for true cleans and verge-of-breakup tones. Beyond that, 5-way switching, along with a 2-way mini toggle for series/parallel selection, gives you access to a myriad of irresistible sonic textures.

Fast, stable, comfortable reinforced maple neck

The Pro-Mod DK24's neck and fingerboard are spec'd to meet the demands of the technical player. The Charvel Speed Neck is graphite reinforced for a lifetime of rock-solid dependability. A heel-mounted spoke wheel facilitates speedy truss rod adjustments, while four heavy-duty bolts provide superior sound transmission from the neck to body. Fretside, the compound-radius fingerboard flattens out to an arrow-straight 16" in the upper registers and comes fitted with 24 jumbo frets for maximum speed and control.

Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo

The recessed Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo bridge sits nice and flush with the Pro-Mod DK24’s body to provide texture when you need it, and a relatively low profile when you don’t. This vintage-style tremolo system keeps tuning stable, even for all-out dives.

Reviews

WOW! This guitar is hot FIRE!!
I play metal, prog, and surf rock. I ended up recording some of our latest cd using the new charvel and completely blown away. First guitar in a long time I haven't had to mod anything. Steal floating trem block, insane pickups, and the neck is the best I have ever played. The single coil tones blew me away. Truly amazing. The full shred are perfect for down tuned metal (drop c#) and the tuning stability after adding some nut lube on a string change, is incredible solid! 5 stars are not enough for this guitar. Thank you Aric Brenner! The customer service is the main reason I keep coming to you guys and plan on ordering the majority of my gear from Sweetwater! My first charvel and I'm blown away by the setup the fit and finish everything. 0 flaws at all and I own several guitars.
I LOVE this guitar!
First, it's gorgeous. I can't stop looking at it. The compound radius neck is perfect for me. I don't really shred but the neck flattens out in the higher registers to make that kind of thing easy. The satin finish on the neck is smooth and is fast and comfortable. The body carve is ultra comfy, it's carved in just the right places to make it very comfortable to play. The hardware is high quality, I love the locking tuners, and the pickups have so much warmth and definition. You have many tone options between the switch that places them in or out of series, and the ability to combine one coil from one pickup with another coil from the second pickup is very handy. You can go from warm, bassy and full bodied, almost p90 like sound from the neck, to screaming highs and clear clean tones from the bridge.
My one complaint, and this is just a personal problem it has nothing at all to do with the guitar, is the floating bridge. I rarely play with a trem so not being about to drop tune one string without retuning the whole guitar has been a pain. I cut out a wood block and blocked the floating trem off to make the bridge a hard tail and it's worked perfectly. The floating bridge is great for trem work, it's responsive and stays perfectly in tune, I just don't play that style of music.
In summary, this is by far my favorite guitar now. If you have never purchased from Sweetwater, you're going to be pleasantly surprised by their customer service. They're so helpful and friendly and I'll never buy gear anywhere else ever again. Huge shout out to my gear advisor from Sweetwater, Gage Massey. This guy knows his stuff and is one of the most helpful customer service representatives I have ever dealt with.

Great Guitar
I was reluctant to order this guitar without trying one first but I felt the need to try something different. I honestly was blown away by the craftsmanship of this guitar and the playability right out of the box. The pickups are so clear sounding and almost have like an acoustic like character to them when paired with this guitar. There is a huge amount of tonal versatility with this guitar. I'm honestly about to sell a bunch of my other guitars because this guitar does everything!

Just buy it lol
Great guitar! sounds incredible and has a ton of tonal options between the 5-way selector and the series/parallel mini toggle. Everything from full-shred humbucker super strat tones to tele twang, SRV strat tones, and everything in between. Guitar sounds great in literally every selector position. If there is a better "do it all" super strat out there for the price, I can't find it. The neck is perfect and super fast, but the guitar did need a set-up out of the box. Action was really high and the bridge was not level. This is normal stuff, and expected when I re-strung with 9.5 gauge strings. Fret work is super great, and the rolled edges on the fretboard are literally perfect. The matte finish on the guitar is really well done and pretty much perfect. The output jack is pretty stiff, and takes a little force to get a cable fully seated, but i'd rather it be stiff than loose so no real complaints there either. Overall - great guitar. and I couldn't be happier with the guitar and the the service from David.

Fantastic all-around rock machine
This guitar plays well above its price point. The neck is supremely comfortable to play. In 3 months it has joined my music man majesty as dual #1 guitars, it's that good. I did replace the plastic knobs with knurled metal ones, but that's just a personal preference.

Small quibble: where my hand rubs on the body when I palm mute has glossed the satin finish. Not a deal breaker but I can't give a full five stars for that happening in only 2 months.

Shoutout to Erik Bothwell for getting me a replacement tremolo arm sent out to me even though I did not purchase the guitar at Swwetwater. Next one certainly will be purchased through them!
