Reviews

Samson S Patch/ Patchbay
Bottom line... best patchbay on the market. Made very solid & strong. Very versatile with it's 3 way switch on every channel. Configure your studio anyway you like to work. I highly recommend this patchbay. I've owned other patchbays which the inner 1/4" connectors have worn out or gotten intermittent. These are much sturdier and will last a lot longer.

Amazingly Helpful Piece of Equipment
Let’s be honest, a patchbay is intimidating; the signs flow, the front and back, normal, half normal — it’s a lot to think about. As a hobbyist composer and part time VO actor, it’s not the first piece of hardware I’ve ever purchased. Now that I have one, and spent a little time learning to use it, it’s an incredibly valuable piece of hardware for any studio. Once you realize that the signal flows from top to bottom (like a waterfall), it’s much easier to figure out how to patch things in. This particular one has normal, half normal, and through modes, which some of the others don’t have — and it’s a feature you absolutely need. Plus, the switches are on the front of the panel, which is a very smart design choice and a requirement in my book. Definitely grab some console tape and label your ports like I did (see photos) so you’ll remember what is connected on the back. With a ton of synths and drum machines, I can plug them in to the front for playing them or recording into my DAW, and don’t have to go around the back of the interface or desk and try to plug it in. I can just do it right from the front of the patchbay, and boom — I’m in! Don’t be intimidated like I was — buy this affordable piece of hardware and simplify your musical life.

I now have two of these
I now have two of these, one for effects and one for synthS. Used in a small music room at home.

They feel heavy and robust, the switch on the front enables simple no thinking action, quickly changing modes. Thru, half or normalled.
Works great!
It's difficult to get really excited about a patch panel, so 4/5 stars. It works perfectly, sending signals from one piece of equipment to another. It also looks good among the other equipment in my rack.

New to patch bays? Have no idea what half-normal, normal, or thru mode are? There are diagrams on top of the Samson S-Patch Plus that help you learn as you go! Plus, it's simpler than setting up many patchbabys because it provides switches right on the front! Whatever level your experience, the S-Patch Plus will be a huge asset as your studio grows.
