Registering your Pro Tools system not only establishes warranty status and coverage, it also entitles you to certain updates. New versions of Pro Tools (newer than what comes in the box) are often available but require registration first.
Registering your Pro Tools system hardware is as easy as locating the registration card which comes in the box and following the instructions. For help locating the card and instructions on registration, check out Digidesign's product registration page

Locate the “Strike Activation Card” and review the steps.
*NOTE that you do need a Pace USB iLok key to authorize this and other Digidesign software products. The same iLok can be used for several software licenses, including those developed by other companies.

If you have an iLok already registered at iLok.com, have your Login ID and password handy. If this is your first use of an iLok, you’ll need to create an account at iLok.com. Check out our tutorial on setting up an iLok account |

With your iLok.com account ready, visit digidesign web page specified on your Registration/Activation card.... in this case, http://secure.digidesign.com/activation. There, enter the Activation Code printed on the Activation card (as shown in step 1). BE SURE to enter the code precisely as it is printed (letters case, dashes, spaces, etc are essential). When the code is submitted, click SUBMIT.

Follow step 2 on the next page, entering your personal information into all required fields. Be sure to use an active email address, so Digidesign can contact you. When complete, click the "Verify iLok User ID" button at the bottom of the page.

A third page will appear, you entered above. If correct, click the DEPOSIT button at the bottom. Your license for Strike (or Digidesign product) will be placed into you iLok.com account momentarily. NOTE, this normally happens in only a few moments but in some cases, it may take longer.
Once the process is complete, you'll be directed to www.iLok.com. Again, If this is your first time using an iLok, you'll need to create an account at iLok.com. Check out our tutorial on setting up an iLok account.
Then, log into your iLok user account. Once logged in, look for the "You have licenses" link. If you see this, it means that your new software license has been transfered to your iLok account. Click this "you have licenses" link to review your new licenses.

Proceed by clicking the SYNCHRONIZE button so that iLok.com can ‘link-up’ with your key.

The screen will ask you to Please wait while the website communicates with your USB iLok key.

Once synchronized, iLok.com will ask you to select which licenses to transfer (even if you only have one) and which iLok to transfer the license to. Select the license as pictured, then click “Download Licenses.”
After a few moments, you’ll see a message that the license download is complete. Click OK, to view you iLok with license(s) listed below.
Your iLok is now authorized and you may use Strike. |
