Attractive, Functional, and Affordable

The WS7500 Workstation proves that you don't have to drop a bucket of cash just to get a pro-looking, pro-featured desk for your studio. After all, your desk is the center of your workflow, so it has to look welcoming and have everything you need, right where you need it. The WS7500 Workstation's upper shelf is perfect for holding your studio monitors and a wide-screen display monitor. The main area has more than enough space to house all the critical hardware components of your workflow. You can even put your laptop square in the center and be good to go.

If you have an external keyboard or mouse, you'll dig the hideaway roll-out tray on the WS7500 Workstation. If you're a laptop fiend and don't use an external keyboard/mouse combo, you can easily fit a micro-sized MIDI controller in that lower area. Tabletop monitor controllers and headphone amps also fit nicely under here. And speaking of fitting nicely - you'll love sitting in front of the WS7500 Workstation. There's plenty of room below for your legs, not to mention your cable runs, power supplies, etc. And the attractive look? Yes, it's a big deal, but it's all just icing on the WS7500 Workstation's workflow-enhancing cake. Sweetwater also recommends checking out the multiple expansion and accessory options for the WS7500 as well.

Great Desk For The Budget Conscience

I really needed to upgrade my work space from my old PC cart to a more fluid and functional space. After lots of research on DIY and such I decided to try this brand. I bought the WS7500 workstation and two WSC7500 Corner accessories (separate review on those). The WS7500 is hefty and wide enough to accommodate my Yamaha MOXF6 on the main desk with my M-Audio BX5a, Tascam US16x08 and 24"monitor on the top shelf, all with in comfortable reach. The metal hardware and wood are surprisingly well built for the price. The instructions were comprehend-able but took a bit of thought especially concerning the keyboard shelf construction, speaking of which, the slide out keyboard shelf is generous enough for both a full size keyboard and mouse, so that's handy. The sliding mechanism gets a bit stiff though. Assemble was fairly easy but once built, the unit is hard to get through standard door ways. All-in-all, I'm very happy with this desk and have had no issues with it and no missing parts.

On-Stage Stands WS7500 Workstation

I bought this desk for my wife, who needed more space for her midi interface and lap steel. It comes in one big, heavy box and the instructions are easy to follow, and it took me about 20 minutes to assemble, and that included a coffee break. :) My wife is very pleased with her desk and I like it for its great value and how sturdy it is. And I have to give a big shout out to my guy Chris Sanders, for the recommendation for this outstanding desk!

Got it despite the bad reviews and glad I did!

First off, I'm giving this a 5 because I think the other ratings are more harsh than they should be and I want to bring the average up. Before this, I had been using a student desk from office depot. I simply wanted to upgrade so that I could have my keyboard and computer all in front of me. This did exactly that, with enough room on the top to hold my Alesis M1 320 monitors aswell as my fast track pro next to my laptop. It took me and my friend an hour to install this. YOU WILL NEED A DRILL in order to screw the platforms into the legs. Others have complained about the holes not aligning properly, but since you're drilling the screws in anyways, all you need is to align one side according to the small holes, and the other side will look virtually even. The most frustrating part of this was putting the screw cap to lock the screw on the two bars that hold the legs together (There are 8 total). Other than that, I have a solid desk that's even according to my plum line.

Great Stand

While this took time to assemble, I found it all worked and didn't need to drill any extra holes -- wood screws are included. The assembled product is sturdy and attractive.

I needed somewhere I could park my laptop recording rig at home (at a price that was easily approved by my wife) and this simple, VERY affordable, and attractive desk did the trick!
