Delivers Classic Wah Tones

The wah pedal is a pedalboard staple, and the Vox V845 puts this classic effect under your feet at a price that’s sure to put a smile on your face. Spec’d to emulate Vox’s ’60s-era original, the V845 ups the ante with a 9-volt power supply input, eliminating the need for a battery. You also get a durable all-black coated finish that’s built to withstand a lifetime of stomping and rocking. If you want to duplicate classic Cream- and Hendrix-esque wah-wah effects, the Vox V845 is the right tool for the job.

Vox — inventor of the wah

Vox developed the first wah-wah effect during the 1960s in order to enable guitarists to emulate the sound of a muted trumpet. The unique sonic characteristics of Vox’s original wah pedal subsequently became immensely widespread, thanks to pioneering guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and others. Today, the wah is as popular as ever — you’ll see nary a single pedalboard here at Sweetwater without a wah pedal on it. It’s a must-have piece of gear.

Vox V845 Wah Pedal Features:

  • Puts classic wah tone under your feet
  • Spec’d to emulate Vox’s ’60s-era original
  • Delivers spot-on Clapton and Hendrix wah-wah effects
  • 9-volt power supply input eliminates the need for a battery
  • Durable all-black coated finish

Reviews

This is it!
The que on this wah is perfect. It took me a minute to get here, so many have this ice-pick high frequency to the que response, not this one. It's sweet and vowl-like in the sweep. Think Cream, Hendrix, Page, SRV. Thank you, VOX, for making this pedal in this price range. It's a real sleeper! I love it!

Jimi Hendrix
Love this pedal. It has a nice warm sound, perfect for playing clapton and hendrix. Great deal on it and the construction is well built. Definitely a must have for any classic rock pedal board.
V845 Classic Wah
Great classic 1960s psychedelic rock (Clapton, Hendrix) and 1970s funk sound. Metal box built like a tank, easy to use, lots of fun. The pedal sweep is short but that make it easy to quickly work the pedal back and forth. The on/off button is stiff but this helps prevent it accidentally being turned off when using it, I guess. For under a $ it's a lot of fun and a great addition to any setup.

As usual, exactly what I expected
Ordered this vox wah pedal and as usual it got here fast, in perfect condition and sounds as great as my original 60's wah by vox. I buy all my gear from Sweetwater now because of the great selection and prompt service. They always check on how I like my purchase too.
