Stellar Sound and Built to Last

With the sE Electronics V7 Black handheld dynamic microphone in hand, you'll hit the stage with confidence. Its specialized aluminum voice coil offers a natural-sounding reproduction of your voice while simultaneously giving it a crisp, open quality. Its supercardioid design yields excellent isolation from stage noise and delivers massive amounts of gain before feedback. Rumble and handling noise aren't a problem for the V7, thanks to its integrated shockmount; meanwhile, an internal windscreen prevents wind noise and plosives from ruining your performance. While the sE Electronics V7 is built for the stage with durable zinc alloy construction and a tour-tough beveled spring steel mesh grille, its stellar sonic performance makes it a go-to dynamic in the studio as well.

Specialized aluminum voice coil for a crisp, open sound

By virtue of its custom-developed aluminum voice coil, the sE Electronics V7 lends a crisp, open quality to your voice and instruments but still maintains a natural sound. Enjoy excellent isolation and copious amounts of gain before feedback, thanks to the V7's superbly built supercardioid capsule. When we ran the V7 through its paces here at Sweetwater, we were duly impressed by its performance.

Integrated shockmount and internal windscreen

When you take the stage with the sE Electronics V7, you don't have to worry about handling noise. An integrated shockmount decouples the V7's capsule, effectively eliminating rumble and other distracting sounds. An internal windscreen reduces unwanted wind noise and plosives. Both red and black windscreens are included, so you can choose which one suits your personal style.

Heavy-duty metal construction and spring steel grille

Built from durable zinc alloy, the road-ready sE Electronics V7 can withstand serious punishment. Its spring steel mesh grille is dent- and corrosion-proof. And, courtesy of the grille's beveled edge, this microphone won't roll around when you set it down. Rest assured that you'll be using the V7 for years to come, thanks to its high-quality components, including a gold-plated XLR connector.

Reviews

sE V7 Black has a special mass
Different color, very different inspiration. I was unable to obtain the 25th anniversary edition of the V7 Nickel from Sweetwater so I sourced it from "Them". The shipped in a paper bag. No class. The box was damaged. I almost sent it back. The mic came out of the box with an aura glowing around it. No, it's true. I plugged it in and I didn't need to use additional pre-amps, no compression, I recorded flat and my transmission wasn't overpowered by the low-end. I need to spend more time as this is a keeper. Wait, isn't this the V7 Black we are talking about? Why yes. Because with in hours of the Nickel arriving, I pulled the trigger and ordered the V7 Black from Sweetwater. Today, when it arrived, it was online. They sound identical. The Nickel might have an aura but the V7 Black has this red glow that you have to see. The sound is awesome, articulate. It doesn't really have anything to do with the sound but when I hold the mic, it has this mass that feels inspiring. Oh, Where's the candy?
Se Electronics V7
I'm so glad I took the advice of the Sweetwater team when searching for a speaker that was going to do the job with my set up here, and wasn't going to 'break the budget'. It's a great starter and there was so much more above and beyond this that if I need something more in the future, they will have it. For now, this is going to do quite well.
No need to shop anywhere else Sweetwater has it all.

Great Mic
I got a handful of these dudes because one of the bands I ran sound for had one for the lead vocals. Yes, they have a little less high mids than youd find in a Beta58 or something, but the rejection off axis is phenomenal. The resistance to the grody peaks introduced when a heavier-style singer cups the mic is 2nd to none. They just sound like you want a mic to sound right off the bat. It's my new go-to mic for vocals, now.
Mic
Works well. I've used both as wired and with a wireless transmitter.

Great microphone for the price
Got a couple of these for the thrash band I put together with some friends with myself on vocals and guitar. The bass player and I split vocal duties full-time I sing high he sings low and these work excellent in a live situation. Very clean very tight precise sound would highly recommend.
Music background: All genres of music for 35+ years.
