Reviews

2024
Not bad. Entonation was even close. I would have paid twice the price if it was made in America.
Great guitar regardless of price.and I've owed u.s Mexican.
Nice guitar.only surprise was no skunk stripe on neck.but it nicely set up .and it plays nice.
Music background: 54 years playing guitar .mostly rock and rhythm blues
Great guitar
Like the majority of Squire instruments out there the one I received is a beast. My first made in China Squire, but the quality of mine is as good or better than the Indonesian built Strat Bullet I've had for 10 years. The playability and tone of this guitar can compete with instruments costing 3 or 4 times more.
Music background: Intermediate guitar and bass player
Absolutely phenomenal for the money you pay!
I bought one of these things a few months ago as an introduction to the Telecaster for myself. I've been playing guitar for a good while now, and I mostly play metal. However, I have always had a love for that classic Telecaster sound and body shape. So, I reached out to my Sweetwater rep one day, hell of a guy, props to Mihir, and asked him about this. I bought it and got it within two to three days and started playing. This thing really nails what you're looking for in a Telecaster for a cheap price. The pickups sound great, really giving you that Tele experience. The neck is super super comfortable, the frets are nice and rounded with no sprout, it was even nearly perfectly intonated when I got it. The tuners work just fine, haven't found any dead spots in them. The hardware does feel a bit cheap, but that's to be expected on a guitar in this price range of course. It even has a multi-piece neck which is unheard of on a guitar in this range. If you're wanting a Tele to either get into the Tele sound or to start playing in general, I can't recommend this one enough. It's made me fall in love with the Tele shape and sound even more, enough to now want an American Tele.
Very Nice for the Price
Weight is always an issue for me. This guitar clocked in at around an acceptable 7 pounds. Very comfortable with the slightly thinner body with a belly cut. Neck is great, comfortable C shape with no fret sprout or sharp frets noted. Pickups sound very good giving you the classic chimey Tele sound. Controls feel okay and switch feels a bit cheap but this is a budget guitar. These things can be changed easily someday, if necessary.
Would recommend a good set up with any budget guitar. Mine was set up great and is a very good guitar for my needs.
Drawbacks:
1.) out of the box the output jack was intermittent. This was a loose broken output wire which was a 5 minute fix for me with a screwdriver and a soldering iron. Not a big deal for me as I used to repair electronics for a living. Not worth the hassle of sending back for a 5 minute loose wire repair.
2.) the bridge can be a bit buzzy with some strings. This can be a common annoyance with Tele/Strat bridges, but the player who never plays un-plugged - won't be an issue. Only noticeable unplugged playing acoustically.
In conclusion, this a a solid choice for the beginner/intermediate player who wants an inexpensive Tele to get started or more experienced player for decent Tele noodling/practice.
