A Nashville-style Axe from Another Dimension

The Squier Paranormal Custom Nashville Stratocaster is unlike any instrument you've seen — or played — before. This unique-looking electric guitar is built around a double-bound, Strat-like poplar body, with a hand-filling "C"-shaped maple neck and a slick-playing, 21-fret laurel fingerboard. You get three alnico-loaded, single-coil pickups, in a typical Nashville Tele configuration, arming you with a veritable greatest-hits package of Fender-style tones. Moreover, 5-way switching supplies access to all the requisite "in between" settings, while a push-pull tone knob engages the neck pickup in positions one and two. Whatever your application, the Paranormal Custom Nashville Strat can deliver the right tone for the job. This attention-grabbing mashup also includes a 3-ply parchment Tele-style pickguard, vintage-style tuners, a reversed Tele control plate, and a 3-saddle strings-through-body Tele bridge. Players searching for one guitar that's a jack of all tones will be absolutely delighted by the Squier Paranormal Custom Nashville Stratocaster.

A well-appointed patchwork of parts

Squier pulled out all the stops with the Paranormal Custom Nashville Stratocaster. For starters, it's built around a double-bound, Custom Telecaster-inspired, Strat-like body carved out of a solid hunk of poplar. The Paranormal Custom Nashville Strat includes a 3-ply parchment Tele-style pickguard and a reversed Tele control plate, along with rock-solid vintage-style tuning machines and a 3-saddle strings-through-body Tele bridge. Chrome-plated hardware and a spotlight-stealing gloss finish complete this head-turning solidbody electric guitar.

Versatile, alnico-loaded pickups

The Squier Paranormal Custom Nashville Stratocaster comes loaded with three Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups. This guitar's bridge and neck pups deliver all the twang, bite, and snarl you'd expect from a high-quality set of Tele pickups. The third pickup expands your tonal options further, supplying you with the warm-yet-biting sound you'd get from a Strat's middle pickup. You get 5-way switching, and beyond that, a push-pull on the guitar's tone knob adds the neck pickup to positions one and two, unleashing even more sonic textures. If you're already a Tele player like many of us are here at Sweetwater, then you'll hear your guitar rig in a whole new light with the Paranormal Custom Nashville Strat.

Effortlessly playable neck

Navigating the Paranormal Custom Nashville Stratocaster's fretboard is almost too easy. Its bolt-on maple neck boasts a comfortable "C" shape that fills your hand nicely while also staying out of your way. This guitar's laurel fingerboard features a modern-feeling 9.5-inch radius, with 21 narrow-tall frets for fleet-fingered playability and silky smooth bends. The Paranormal Custom Nashville Strat also includes a synthetic bone nut and classy pearloid dot fingerboard inlays.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

Note: While Certified Open Box items from Squier do not include the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warranty, you can shop with confidence knowing that this item is backed and covered by Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!

Reviews

Love this guitar !!!
I really like the look of this guitar. The Tone combinations are endless. The neck is super smooth The body looks like a Strat but the body doesn't have the relief cut. The controls are Tele but have more options because they added a Strat pickup and a 5 way selector switch. I ran the guitar through my AC/30 Combo amp. I really like a dirty sound but this guitar sounds fantastic clean. But I did add some dirt to it and the pickups sound amazing.
Awesome guitar
I purchased this guitar because I love the sound of a Stratocaster and love my American professional ii telecaster. My hands always hit the selector switch on a strat. Let me tell you something. This guitar blew me away. Squier knocked this one out of the park. Sound quality and build quality is excellent. Don't be turned off because it's a low cost guitar. Buy one and you'll see for yourself. And thanks Bob Furlong and Sweetwater for always taking care of me. P.S. I added the ashtray cover. Makes it look classier I think
Love it!
Perfection at a great price. I ordered a Wilkinson bridge with brass saddles to add just for fun. The pickups have to be tweaked to take the edge off - Easy turn of the tone knob. Thankfully, there is no hum to them, which I love. I've also got the Paranormal 12 and switched out its pickups for some Stewmac vintage, they sound great, but are super hummy.

I love the vintage look of the Sunburst finish and aged binding. It hides nicely in my guitar horde of sixty something guitars…. Thought about the gold one, but it's too flashy, and the wife might notice it.

Time to figure out some chicken picking!
Best of both worlds .
I love the looks of a Strat and the controls of a Tele. The play ability of this guitar is amazing. I really like the Strat middle pickup sound. I have a Strat and a Tele but as the title states Best of Both Worlds.
Excellent Electric Guitar

I have played piano for 64 years and bass for 9 months. I wanted to try electric guitar and I chose this Nashville Stratocaster as my first. I couldn't be happier. It arrived ready to play in all respects. I checked everything and nothing needed adjustments. I chose to lower the strings a little bit. The frets were smooth and clean. I find it easy to fret and the tone is beautiful. I tested the pickup settings and I am going with all and clean as I learn to play. I am using ultimate guitar pro to learn. I practice 3-4 hours daily and loving all my new musical instruments.

Music background: I have played piano since I was 10. I recently took up the bass guitar and now the electric guitar to try to keep my brain engaged as I get older.
