I'm a trombone player and have had these for a couple of years now. Sound quality is great. I could use a little more sound cancelation for some venues. But that's more because the band I was playing with was extremely loud in a cement auditorium. I could still hear. I just needed to turn up my IEM volume a little more than I wanted. Also, have not had a problem with the cable. I actually love that it's such a thin cable. Other models of IEMs I've tried have a thick cable for over the ear that is harder to get a comfortable fit for me. Overall, very pleased and use these weekly to momthly.

Pricey but excellent sound and weight! Can wear for hours with no problem and bass is fantastic!

I went from a cheap set of $50 earphones with all the distortion, to hearing a full frequency range with the Pro X50. The good folks at Sweetwater explained how the multiple drivers balance the overall frequency load distribution and that levels out all the unnecessary ambient noise found in fewer drivers. Very happy with the investment since I am a singer as well as an instrumentalist.

After texting with Tyler Henry from Sweetwater who is always top notch and committed to giving his outstanding patience with me, I dropped the hammer on this purchase. Made the purchase at 2:30pm Tuesday and the delivery was at my front door on Wednesday at 11am. I am suffering from hearing loss and thought IEM'S would help so I have been using 215's for over a year with positive results. Then just this morning I gave the Westone Audio Pro X50's a test run. Let me tell everyone that the experience was like going from hearing the mix in a phone booth to hearing the mix at Royal Albert Hall. It was an encouraging and emotional change for me personally. I didn't want to spend $700.00 on myself this close to the Holidays, but just being able to hear what I've been missing is a wonderful gift. I am consistently blown away by Westone Audio and the design quality of their in ear systems. The Pro x50 earphones are transparent and deliver a true representation of sound across the stage. Being a drummer, I love that the Pro x50s pack a solid punch for the kick drum and bass through the 5 independent drivers. The Estron Linum BaX cable is ultra light compared to any headphones I've ever used. It feels like you don't have anything in your ears while playing!
