Multi-tap Delay Pedal with Insane Modulations

In the 1970s and 1980s, experimental guitarists, such as Allan Holdsworth, Frank Zappa, and Robert Fripp, were pushing the boundaries of guitar tone by cascading multiple rack units to conjure up entirely unique new sounds. The Meris Polymoon re-creates this technique but in a scaled-down pedalboard unit. Polymoon’s cadre of effects comprises a multi-tap delay, dynamic flanger, barber-pole phaser, and a massive set of modulators, including six custom-tuned LFOs capable of producing understated vibratos or mind-melting, pitch-shifted pandemonium. Shoegaze, psych, and progressive guitarists at Sweetwater are heralding Polymoon as a must-have unit. And keyboardists at Sweetwater have jumped on the bandwagon, too, after discovering Polymoon’s power to launch earthbound synth patches into the stratosphere. Explode your instruments’ horizons with the Meris Polymoon super-modulated delay!

Ample onboard and external controls

The Meris Polymoon has intuitive onboard controls for taking advantage of the pedal’s stellar features. However, if you want to go even deeper, Polymoon offers a multifunction jack for connecting a preset switch, an expression pedal, a tap switch, or using it as a MIDI I/O with an optional TRS-to-MIDI conversion box. No matter how you like to interface with your pedals, the Polymoon has you covered.

Reviews

Amazing
One of the best sounding delays Ive owned. The pedal is small an pedalboard friend which I love. And there is so much packed into this little box. Ive used a ton of delays. The one Had before this was a Strymon Timeline, which is a great delay. But most replays that have all the features I look for are big pedals. Thee Polymoon does it all in a small package. As a Straight up pedal, its very easy to use and very straightforward. Very easy to get some awesome delay sounds right off the pedal controls out of the box. The downside, if you want to call it that, is that packing the any features into a small box calls for semi-advanced ways of accessing the many hidden / alt features that are available as well as global set-ups and preset access / saving. To get the most out of this pedal, you'll want a midi controller. It really opens up the pedals potential and makes navigating it much easier. As do the the editors that are available. Meris likes the MidiMittr along with Touch OSC app to be bale to edit presets and access all the basic and alt features from a computer or tablet / phone. I personally like the Eliiot Garbus editors and find them easier to use. And SysEx Librarian is a must have for having your presets offline and creating backups. The Garbus editors allow this too and create a library of all your sounds regardless of if they are loaded on the pedal or not. But Have found that creating syses files of your presets to save is much easier with syses librarian. Ive had difficulty going preset exports with the Garbus editors. With 16 presets available, it's not hard to have a lot more presets built than what are actually on the pedal.. The editors make this really easy for swapping presets and arranging your pedal preset arrangement. And learning the alt controls and global set-ups right off the pedal is not hard either. Takes some memorization, but comes naturally after playing with the pedal for a while. The point i that this pedal has so many amazing features that make it an incredible delay. The small package 9which is a plus IMO) leaves it to midi to really be able to get the pedal set up and rolling right on your rig. Ive learned so much about midi working with these pedals, it's been great. An Meris hands down has some of the best support you could ever ask for. They're friendly, thorough and always reply. Ive gotten some amazing tips from the guys at meris that have made using this pedal a real joy. Ive been able to set up some amazing sounds via m midi controller and the editors. And I really can't ay enough about how good their support is. So out of the box the pedal sounds amazing and is easy to work with upon basic set-up and use. There's definitely a learning curve, if you're not used to using midi implementation or online editors. But tis not too hard once you get into it. Most importantly the sound quality is amazing on all meris pedals including the Polymoon. So get a good midi controller and on of the editors and dive in. Its an awesome learning experience and you'll find there's nothing you can't do when suing this thing with an awesome midi set up.

Fantastic
Used as a simple delay, it's one of the best digital delays I've heard. Then add in a very capable flanger on your dry signal, it acts as a modulator. Add the phaser on the wet signal and it sounds heavenly. Add 2+ taps and the stereo spread is so juicy it has to be heard to be believed. Then, if you want to get really wild, use the "secondary" functions to make the wet signal absolutely pitched/modulated beyond recognition. It's so capable as a pedal it can almost be its own instrument by itself.

One of the absolute best delays for guitar and bass (and a VERY nice supplement to synths too!)
Nothing sounds like the Polymoon
The Polymoon is an absolute joy to play. It gives you something new each time and once you experience it in stereo you'll never go back! Thanks again to Mitch and Sweetwater, excellent service.
Fantastic Pedal for Synths
This is a deceptively deep pedal. Well made, very high quality sound, and very unique. Learn it and you will love it.

Amazing, jaw dropping sound and algorithm
This is the most inspiring delay I have played in a long time... and I'm a delay freak. I've been stacking them for a long time... my biard has seen the likes of an supa puss, echorec, tc triple delay, strymon timeline, nemesis ... as of now I also have the empress echosystem on my board... and you would think you would not meed any other delay with that unit on board... but the Polymoon is such a unique beast! It's very deep and takes a while to learn how to use it... I'm still unlocking sounds as the possibilities are endless... from traditional sounding repeats, to warbly dream like sequences...
obviously the sound quality is one of it's best features ... the detail and and stereo profile are delightful...
at this price range this is the best delay pedal if you are into trippy stuff... it can still do more traditional delay sounds but would be unecessary to get this brilliant unit
