Gated Fuzz/Distortion Powered by Plasma
From lightsabers to arc welders, neon signs to spacecraft engines, plasma technology plays a major role in our daily well-being. And thanks to the Gamechanger Audio Plasma Pedal, it's now possible for audio geeks everywhere to harness the power of plasma for music creation and sound design. The Plasma Pedal converts incoming audio signals to a beam of "high voltage" electricity (a harmless 3.5kV) in a xenon-filled vacuum tube. Due to the speed and nature of this beam generation, incoming signals are marinated in an extremely percussive, highly irregular, and highly harmonic type of audio distortion, whose character ranges from a smooth vocal-like sustain to a hard-gated fuzzy ruckus. Standard gain, EQ, and output controls supply a generous amount of control over the Plasma Pedal's distortion and fuzz characteristics. There's even a wet-dry Blend control to ensure your source audio stays intact when you crank up the intensity. Apart from its unique tonal thumbprint, the Plasma Pedal's real-time beam generation is a fun way to visualize your audio in new and exciting ways.

Science...
"In essence — you are playing a bolt of electricity."
Gamechanger's Plasma Pedal is unlike just about every other drive, boost, and distortion pedal on the market. Rather than relying on clipping diodes, driven tubes, or transistors to achieve breakup, as pedals of the past did, the Plasma Pedal converts your audio signal into "a series of continuous high-voltage discharges" within a xenon-filled vacuum tube. These discharges are instantly converted back to an analog signal that's laden with gooey harmonics and otherworldly distortion artifacts.
What does that tube do?
The charged xenon tube inside the Gamechanger Plasma Pedal is no pony show. It's actually being used to process your signal. The generated beam is your input audio — be it a guitar riff, synth lead, or bass line — represented as an electrical discharge, enriched with harmonics and hard-gating characteristics that'll really make your parts stand out in a mix. The included tube is rated for around 70,000 hours of playtime. Replacements are available directly from Gamechanger Audio in the event of damage on the road.

...Meets Sound...
Hard-clipped gated distortion
Doomy and chaotic to smooth and psychedelic, the Gamechanger Plasma Pedal infuses any incoming audio signal, be it guitar, bass, keys, or drums, with all the chaos and unpredictability of a bolt of electricity.
Clean blend melds two tones
One of the most exciting controls on the Plasma Pedal has to be its wet/dry Blend control. This allows you to gain articulation and color in ways that traditional fuzzes and drives could never deliver.
...in the Gamechanger Plasma Pedal
The way we hear it, the folks at Gamechanger were sipping beverages outdoors on their porch one summer evening and watching bugs being picked off by their bug zapper. And like electricity, the concept behind the Plasma Pedal took off like a lightning bolt.
Many effects units can claim to be "game changers." But with its Plus and Plasma units, Gamechanger Audio of Latvia has really earned the title.
