Tremolo Powered by TC's TonePrint Technology

With the release of the Pipeline, TC Electronic brings a long-awaited tremolo device to their groundbreaking TonePrint line of effects pedals. Thanks to Vintage and Square settings, the Pipeline is a boon for both vintage tone fans and players on a constant search for new and inspiring sounds. A twist of a knob offers six tap tempo-based note subdivisions, adding new rhythmic depth to your music. And if you're still searching for new tones, TC's TonePrint Library and Editor offer easily accessible custom sounds created by artists and you!

Endless tremolo possibilities

Say you find a sound in the pedal you need to share with the universe . Upload it straight to your computer and add it to TC's TonePrint Library. That's where you'll find hundreds of presets, some by the biggest names in guitar, to share and download right into your very own Pipeline Tremolo. And it couldn't be any easier to do. Download the preset with your iPhone, and send it wirelessly through Beam technology straight to your pedal. Look Ma, no cables! The possibilities are endless with the TC Electronic Pipeline Tremolo.

Digital flexibility meets true bypass fidelity

DSP may be at the heart of the Pipeline, but it certainly doesn't sound like a digital stompbox. That's because TC Electronic knows how important it is to marry high-quality analog circuitry with their impressive digital processing. For example, the Pipeline's true bypass switching ensures that your original signal is untouched when the pedal is disengaged, something Sweetwater musicians love.

TC Electronic Pipeline Tremolo Effect Pedal Features:

  • Flexible tremolo pedal with the power of TonePrint technology
  • Get classic Tremolo tones in Vintage mode
  • Hard mode offers an aggressive-voiced tremolo
  • Load custom artist presets for the TonePrint library to access custom Tremolo sounds
  • TonePrint Editor software for Mac, Windows PC, and iPads lets you create your own unique effects
  • True bypass switching maintains pure signal flow when disengaged
  • Made with high-quality analog and digital components
  • Road-ready, ultra-tough all-metal chassis

Retro Modern Looking and Sounding Tremolo
My 6L6 powered Mesa Fillmore has a built in spring reverb tank, but I wanted to give it more of a Deluxe Reverb vibe and this TC took it to that place nicely. I use it in the effects loop where it's clean, rich and full sounding and it works great there. The tap tremolo and subdivisions are a nice addition too. The modern chop tremolo sounds are there as well. I use a very subtle amount of it always on. I liked it so well that I bought another one for a second amp. It looks very cool, retro, well built and the TC TonePrint App is great for adding different flavors to your sonic palette. Nice price too, so yeah I like it!

Surf's Up!
I was lucky enough to get a 'demo' unit (new ones are currently backordered) and I don't think that it had ever been unboxed before! I've read somewhere that a Tremolo is often one of the 1st pedals that many people get. No so in my case, For years, I spent a lot of my time in overdrive/distortion/fuzz territory along with boosts and some other modulation and amp emulation type pedals before I decided that I really wanted to play surf like the Ventures, Dick Dale, along with songs like the Surfaris 1963 hit 'Wipeout'. As usual TC does not disappoint as they nailed the sound that I was looking for when played through my Strat. The pedal is very quiet and plays well with my other pedals as well. TC has a number of TonePrints for this pedal that I'll eventually try. Tip - I use Windows with a USB cable to transfer TonePrints to a pedal as I find it a lot less hassle then the 'Beaming' method via a phone. The pedal even comes with a USB cable which is nice. One of the best features of this pedal is that TonePrints are optional really and not required to get full use out of the pedal. There is also a switch inside that can get you buffered bypass should you need it. There is a small instruction book that comes with the pedal, however the full manual is to be found online. I like the 'Square' setting, but that's just my personal preference. If you want to play Surf music, this pedal is very versatile two thumbs up choice.
