Practical Personalized Monitoring
The Rolls PM50se Personal Amp is a small amplifier that's packed with robust features for monitoring and recording. Representing an improvement on the original design of the PM50, the PM50se adds more control parameters and is perfect for podcasters, drummers, sound engineers, and more. At its core, the PM50se allows enhanced monitoring controls and boosts playback volume; it can also increase the gain of microphone and line-level signals. Some potential uses for PM50se include personalizing a studio track’s live or playback volume, a useful feature when recording loud instruments such as drums, or using it to keep your mic gain and headphone controls easily in reach when recording vocals.
Ports and gain
The PM50se boasts tons of features for such a small box. Onboard, you'll find mono or stereo 1/4-inch monitor inputs, 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch headphone outputs, and two XLR ports with a line/mic level selector and a mic-through design for simple integration of the PM50se into your studio. Choosing the 1/4-inch output offers up to 20dB extra gain while opting for XLR output offers a whopping additional 50dB of gain. Here at Sweetwater, we love how loud this little amp can get. Plus, its compact lightweight design makes it easy to pack on the go for mobile recording, podcasting, and general amplification needs!
