Limited-edition Smart Amp with Tone Presets and Practice Features

Positive Grid's Spark is a breakthrough new way to jam, track, practice, and learn songs. This powerful app-driven smart amp delivers a bedroom-filling 40 watts of over 100,000 classic BIAS amp/pedal/cab presets through its twin 4-inch ported hi-fi speakers, ready for direct injection into your DAW recording session or live PA via USB or 1/8-inch TRS headphone output. And impressive as that is, it's just scratching the surface of all that Spark can do for you. Voice control via the Spark app gives you Slash-worthy lead tones and solo-ready rock and blues backing tracks without lifting a finger. You can even feed Spark your own chord progressions and listen in amazement as a virtual session drummer and bassist accompany you in real time. A massive list of downloadable tone presets and an impressive library of virtual pedals and amps — which are easily navigable by style, artist, or genre — suit this one amp for every electric guitar, acoustic, and bass in your arsenal. And at a mere 11.5 pounds (slightly less than a bowling ball, slightly more than a gallon of paint), the Positive Grid Spark is transportable enough for day-to-day outings.

Delivers 40 watts through twin 4-inch speakers

Though it won't fill an arena, the Positive Grid Spark easily packs enough power for practices and jams around the house. Its stereo 4-inch hi-fi speakers are deceptively full sounding. So whether you're playing clean funk bass or drop-tuned metal guitar, you get a nice, round low end and great definition right out of the box. Of course, you've also got an auxiliary output and USB port for more direct modes of amplification. Sound engineers here at Sweetwater have found the stereo speakers even hold up favorably to close-miking, so even in a traditional club with a couple of mics onstage, Spark is the only tool you're going to need.

Loaded with over 100,000 presets

One of the Spark's most appealing features has to be its tone presets. In our tests, it was ultra-quick to dial just about any tone we were feeling, from compressed country cleans to fire-breathing metal gains. App-based browsing and voice control make it relatively easy to dial in the tone you're searching for — speaking commands like "Plexi," "Kerry King," or "blues" into your paired mobile device gets you a curated selection of tones to choose from — and in our experience, they provide a great launching point.

A breakthrough way to practice, track, and learn music

A powerful playback system and a vast library of sounds are just half of what sets the Positive Grid Spark apart. Through the app, you'll find countless ways to round out your music-making journey.

  • Live backing tracks: Crank out a chord progression, and the Spark app will automatically accompany you with a bass guitar and drums. You don't even need to set a key or tempo — just strum and go.
  • Multitrack recording: Got a riff you want to preserve or flesh out for further working? Connect the Spark amp to a computer via USB, and you're all set to layer guitar and bass tracks by the dozen if you so desire.
  • Chord recognition: Import songs from your Apple Music library, YouTube, or Spotify, and the Spark app feeds you a chord chart on the fly. It's the ultimate fakebook!
  • Riff training: Having trouble tracking that "Spanish Fly" intro run at concert tempo? The Spark app lets you slow down songs and take them at your pace until you can work up to full speed.

Positive Grid Spark Features:

  • 40W combo amp, accompanist, and audio interface through 2 x 4-in. ported hi-fi speakers
  • A breakthrough way to jam, track, practice, and learn songs
  • Pairs with the powerful Spark app (iOS/Android) via Bluetooth for greater control
  • 100,000+ Tone Engine presets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass
  • Hands-on controls for traditional tone dialing
  • Voice commands quickly access a customized, curated list of available amp tones to audition
  • Intelligently tracks guitar progressions for live bass/drums accompaniment
  • Creates chord charts from songs imported via YouTube, Spotify, and your Apple Music library
  • USB connection for direct recording
  • 1/8-in. TRS headphone jack for silent practice or live output
  • 1/8-in. aux in for wiring in backing tracks from your phone

Reviews

Great Sound and much more
I'm very happy with this amp. The sound is great and the 40 Watts of power does fill out a room quite nicely. But, with the Spark App, it's much more than just an amp. The App allows you to learn songs of your own from Apple and Spotify, provides music to play to. You can hear both the background music and your guitar through the amp's bluetooth connection. You can even record your own playing, and more. I've not had time to explore it all, but look forward to using this amp daily.

OOHHHH so rad
man if you like messing around and finding and creating TONS of tones this is the amp for you...
totally loud enough for anywhere in your house.....I am NOT going to comment on whether you can use it in a band situation because I ONLY use it for MY practicing....I've ONLY had it a few days and MY nephew talked me thru operating motions....I bought one for him about a month ago and he loves his so I got one too......THERE are SO many things you can do with this thing....it's INCREDIBLE.....you HAVE to install the app in your phone or tablet which is SO easy and then ALL the fun begins.....2 Spark amps in a matter of a few months.....TOO cool..a couple pictures of mine with my Jackson Made in Japan guitar....thanks again to Lindsey Becker ext 1674....THE BEST sales chic around...SO KNOWLEDGEABLE.....

Your one stop shop for good guitar tone
This little amp sounds very good for its size and price. Plug in and you have access to your standard tone control as well as some useful built-in effects. Want to really dig in, download the app, sync it to your amp and you have access to almost unlimited tones at the swipe of a finger. I've spent a lot of money and time dialing in my tone using tube amps and pedals. This amp comes very close to those tones for less than what you might pay for a single boutique pedal. Does it provide a tonal panacea? No, that doesn't truly exist and that's why there are so many different pedals out there. BUT, if I could only have one amp and was on a limited budget, this amp is the one I would buy. The only negative I can offer is that it's made in China. Truthfully though, I'd pay twice the price for a Made in USA version. Shout out to Carson and his team for getting the amp here fast and always having a good suggestion on the right gear.

Great little amp
Bought this amp a year ago. I have a lot of amps, yet i get drawn to the spark. It fills all my needs, and this little amp packs a punch. Great lows Yet great highs, the sound is up to you. And you don't have to drag a pedal board, if you have a small gig
