Squier Classic Vibe '60s P Bass

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass gives you a powerful 1960s-style instrument that nails the instrument's look and feel from that musically fertile era. A Fender-designed alnico split single-coil pickup serves up classic, fat and punchy P Bass tone, while a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge supplies rock-solid intonation. With all its vintage goodness and modern touches, the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass is one of the hottest bass values at Sweetwater. We're sure you'll agree.

Legendary fat, punchy tone

There's nothing like the fat, punchy sound of a P Bass split single-coil pickup — it sits in a track like nobody's business. To say the P Bass is an industry standard is not an exaggeration: In the '60s and '70s, electric bass parts on session charts used to simply be labeled "Fender" — and that meant Precision. Motown even standardized on the Precision Bass for all their recording sessions. From James Jamerson to Pino Palladino, bassists from all genres have embraced the Precision Bass, and it continues to be a favorite in the studio and on stages everywhere.

Shaped for comfort and performance

One of the things that made the P Bass an instant hit with working bass players was its comfortable contoured body shape. Perfectly balanced whether playing standing or seated, the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass will make those marathon playing sessions much more comfortable. Its C-profile neck satisfyingly fills out your hand and always feels just right — another reason why the Precision is the choice of bassists the world over.

Timeless P Bass design

Leo Fender brought us the Precision Bass back in the 1950s, and its classic body shape and comfortable neck continue to give today's Squier Classic Vibe '60s version excellent playability and a distinctive look. As with so many of his original designs, Leo nailed the essence of a great instrument right from the start. And over a half century later, the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass still sets the affordable standard in electric bass guitars.

Great Bass One Pickup Perfect From The Box

Not a single complaint here! Sounds great. Plays great. No set up or fret work needed. Lots of tone variation with the high range tone knob. Well worth the price just so I can learn to play Jackson 5 and Husker Du.

Music background: Jammer
Plays as sweet as it looks
I love my new Squier CV P bass. It was set up just right straight out of the box. The neck plays great and there is no mistaking where that classic P bass tone comes from.
It is a beautiful instrument that feels and sounds terrific. I currently play in a worship band right now and I can't wait to gig it on Sunday!

Don't let the price fool you!
Don't let the price fool you! This bass will go head-to-head and toe-to-toe against its Fender counterpart.

Out of the box, you will most likely need a setup. If you don't know how to do a setup yourself, have Sweetwater do it for you.
Music background: Semi-Pro Studio Musician
Amazing player
This is one of, if not the best playing bass I've ever played, I own a fender deluxe active pj bass, a Geddy lee jazz bass(Mexico) and a music man sting ray. This tops all of them in terms of playability, and the simplicity of it allows modding to be easy, if that's your thing, I recommend anyone who wants to get into bass or needs a great playing and sounding bass, get this bass, I threw a green pickguard on mine and it POPS! Thanks to Zach for always being an awesome sales rep and thank you to Sweetwater's luthiers for setting it up perfectly.
Music background: Punk rock, metal, funk, blues
Incredible instrument!
I received this bass as a christmas gift and right out of the box it was setup perfectly, no additional adjustments were needed at all. Intonation, action, even the neck was straight. Sweetwater nailed it with the general setup as usual. The fact that this is a $350 bass amazes me seeing as it plays and sounds like something worth twice as much. Squier really seems to be upping their quality lately and it shows with this instrument. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or even a professional player, I guarantee you won't be disappointed with this bass. If you're thinking about getting one, do it. The value can't be beat.
