An All-in-one Acoustic Treatment Solution

Whether outfitting a home recording studio for optimized acoustic performance or looking to dampen unwanted noise in a restaurant or office setting, the Primacoustic London 12 comprises an acoustic room treatment kit primed for your sound control needs. This kit includes 22 of Primacoustic’s uniquely designed Broadway panels, which, in contrast to other acoustic panels, are built with high-density fiberglass that offers nearly five times the absorption of traditional foam designs. In other words, the London 12 kit achieves higher quality sound treatment with less. Given that the London 12 is an entire acoustic solutions treatment kit in a box, Primacoustic also took the necessary design measures to ensure that once unpacked, your space is mere moments away from acoustic transformation. With the included mounting hardware and easy-to-follow instructions, this kit is a cinch to install, making flutter echo, standing waves, reflections, and other common sound troubles a thing of the past. Working with a larger space? While Primacoustic tells Sweetwater that the London 12 acoustic absorption set is best used in rooms no larger than 150 square feet, the company also specified that multiple kits can be combined to outfit larger rooms.

London 12 kit contents:

  • 2 48-in. broadband panels: 24 in. x 48 in. x 2 in. with beveled edges
  • 8 control 48-in. columns: 12 in. x 48 in. x 2 in. with beveled edges
  • 12 scatter 12-in. blocks: 12 in. x 12 in. x 1 in. with beveled edges
  • 28 surface impalers
  • 8 corner impalers
  • Anchors, screws, and 1/4-in. drill bit to mount impalers

Primacoustic London 12 Features:

  • Complete acoustic treatment kit in a box
  • Suitable for a range of applications from residential to commercial
  • Control and scatter panels work to create live-end, dead-end room design
  • Excellent for treating a variety of acoustic issues, including reflections, flutter echo, and standing waves

Reviews

Great acoustic kit and advice from Sweetwater
I ordered this kit after speaking with a Sweetwater rep on the phone. He gave me great advice based on my room size and need, recommending the London 12 piece over standard foam. His advice saved me money and made massive improvements with the sound in my room. The pieces were easy to install and I had some fun with the placement. Note - the purple bass traps are not a part of the London 12 kit.
Excellent Acoustic Treatment
Works just as advertised and wow what a difference a properly treated room makes.
There were some comments on the smell but I am happy to say the set I received was barely noticeable and cleared up after a day.
Go hard or go home
Was thinking about buying the London 8 kit... But my room is about 200sq feet so I just decided to go with the ultimate London 12 kit, was a bit suspicious that it was just regular basic cheap foam, I was wrong. After installing all panels I did the clap test, man oh man the difference is crazy. Well I mean it better be... installation is extremely easy. Mine only had a weird smell for about 2 hours, just opened a window a turned on a fan, smell problem solved. I can now finally mix & produce beats knowing what I'm hearing is correct and accurate. I recommend getting the 6 easy payments, you have nothing to loose, the only thing you'll loose is that terrible echo you hear when you clap your hands. I wish it was cheaper but hey if you don't wana make your own cheap panels and make a mess and trips to the store just purchase the London 12 kit.
This Panel is GREAT!!
I'm not a musician. I do voice overs for TV. My foam in my home studio was beginning to get powdery and starting to fall off the wall. I wanted an alternative. My engineer at Sweetwater, Ben recommended this to me and I must say it is great. I did one back wall with red velvet draperies which looks great.....for the rest of the studio I used the London 12 kit and I could not be happier. The foam for this room would have run me about $600 but for for just a little more money I got this. It was easy to put up and my studio has never sounded better in all the years I've had it here at the house. Not only does the studio sound great but these panels make the room look very professional. In a couple of months I'm going to add their ceiling panel too. I could not recommend these panels with a higher approval. One this to help you out with installation. The panels come with these impalers that you have to push and then pull down to mount them. I would seem to me that if you had to move them around a few times it could cause a little damage to the backs. Sweetwater has the "straight on" impalers and it's way easier to mount them and have them line up with other panels.....Those extra implalers are $39 bucks if you can't find them on the site your Sweetwater rep will direct you right too them....if you look at the pictures of the two impalers you will right away see what I mean.
WOW...and I do mean WOW!
I have to admit I was really hoping to do my acoustic treatment in my home studio on the cheap. But I've got to say; after looking at some of the home-made cheap alternatives and all the trouble, materials, tools and time needed-I decided to buy an acoustic panel kit.

My wish for the cheap acoustic treatment was because my basement is oddly shaped and I had to put up a barrier to accomplish some basic sonic symmetry so, I wanted to convert the space behind the barrier into a vocal booth which meant I would be spending time, money and multi-trips to Home Depot to accomplish that didn’t want to have to build acoustic panels to boot.

Started looking around and kept coming back to the Primacoustic’s London kit-the price tag is a real departure from the CHEAP solution I had in mind and had I not had a Sweetwater credit account, I would not have been able to get these on my budget but I bit the bullet and placed the order.

BEST DIDN’T WANT TO DO IT PURCHASE I EVER MADE-to make a longer story shorter, even though I have yet to put up my bass traps (in place in their perspective corners, but not UP in position) my anxiety for finding out what the London kit would do just got the best of me- so, I hooked up everything and played one of my mixes-INSTANTLY, I could hear EVERYTHING that was wrong with it-WOW! WOW! WOW! I can’t even type how many times I repeated that to myself.

One hour-that’s all, just one hour I spent using my new acoustically treated room to do a NEW preliminary mix-what a difference!

And for those who think their space is a challenge-see what I did ( sorry-wouldn't allow a link ); and if your space isn’t this badly configured, the Primacoustic London Kit will be your solution as well.

I think it is important to mention, my kit has a real pungent odor that’s still permeating (two weeks later)-first couple of days were harsh but I’m noticing less and less now-but the product is well worth putting up with the odor until it totally dissipates.
