The L7V’s single-cut set-neck construction is one of the solidbody guitar world’s oldest tonal recipes, and it’s beloved at Sweetwater for one quality above all others: sustain! While Mr. 335 might be best known as a humbucker kind of man, the Sire Larry Carlton L7V’s LC Vintage P-90s are voiced to deliver the heft and weight of a dual-coil pickup, but with the sparkling clarity of a single-coil! Compared to the humbucker-equipped L7, these pickups amp up your note-to-note articulation, taking you from smooth jazzy tones on the neck to a throaty bark on the bridge position. Moreover, LC Vintage Soapbar P-90s are exceptionally reactive to your guitar’s tone and volume controls, allowing you to run your amp hot for high-octane overdrive tones, then settle down with harmonic-rich cleans with a flick of a knob.

The "C"-shaped mahogany neck on the L7 fills your hand nicely, while staying out of your way.
