This Axe Is Ready to Conquer Dystopia

Jeff Loomis' technically demanding guitar work with Nevermore, Arch Enemy, and as a solo artist has earned him a top spot on many "best metal guitarist" lists. If you've ever heard him play, it's easy to understand why. The Jackson Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 is a worthy solidbody electric guitar for a musician of its namesake's caliber. This limited-edition, high-performance axe boasts an aggressive-looking basswood body with a set-through, graphite-reinforced, 3-piece maple Jackson Speed neck and a 24-fret, compound-radius, ebony fingerboard. A set of Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Signature Blackouts puts enough searing active humbucking tones at your disposal to conquer dystopia. An ultra-reliable Hipshot fixed bridge and Jackson die-cast locking tuners round out the Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6's hardware. You also get a classic Jackson pointed headstock and pearloid Sharkfin fingerboard inlays, a stunning satin finish, and white binding throughout. Players searching for a rock-solid electric guitar for their next prog-metal opus will find that the Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 checks all the right boxes.

Built for inexhaustible savagery

Every detail of the Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 was designed with technical players in mind. Its angular, aggressive-looking body was carved from solid basswood, a tonewood with a defined, mid-forward acoustic sound that cuts through dense mixes like a hot knife through butter. It features a graphite-reinforced, 3-piece maple Jackson Speed neck with a set-through joint and a low-drag satin finish. Its 24-fret ebony fingerboard boasts a lightning-fast compound radius and a zero-bind Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut. The guitarists here at Sweetwater have yet to attempt a playing technique that doesn't feel faster and easier on the Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6.

Scorching-hot active humbuckers

The Jackson Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 comes armed with a set of Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Signature Blackouts. These active humbuckers yield an incredibly organic sound with dynamic playability and unparalleled articulation. But what do you expect from pickups that were custom-voiced by a progressive metal icon like Jeff Loomis? The muscular attack these humbuckers deliver injects your speed-picking techniques with epic power. Two-handed tapping riffs and legato techniques are imbued with tremendous sustain. You'll be astounded by the detail and clarity the Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 retains in ultra-high-gain applications, courtesy of its Signature Blackout active humbuckers.

Loaded with bulletproof hardware

When you take the stage with the Pro Series Signature Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6, you can rest assured that it won't leave you high and dry. For starters, its Hipshot 6 fixed bridge supplies you with spot-on intonation and rock-solid reliability. Great quality guitar; unique finish and feel

I have a few traditional singlecut/doublecut guitars and wanted to mix up the body shape on the next instrument I purchased. My eye was immediately caught by the Jackson Kelly. It's a killer shape, but it still sits comfortably and feels familiar (as opposed to a V, for example). I'm a big fan of the high output pickups, too. The reviews I read/watched before buying the guitar talked about how hot they are - and it's not an understatement. They certainly are high output, but they are also still articulate and focused. I'm really enjoying the sounds I get out of them. The overall feel of the instrument is great, too. Fit/finish is high quality (mine doesn't have any flaws) and the open grain top looks awesome. I suspect it won't be as durable as a poly/lacquered instrument, but I wouldn't let that hold you back. Just take care of your gear and it'll take care of you.

Thank you, Jon Chordas, for helping me get my hands on another awesome guitar!

Unleashing Metal Mayhem

From the minute I unboxed this guitar, I spent the rest of the day lost in a world of guttural riffs. It plays like a dream, and the tone and sustain are both outstanding. I'm also very impressed by the quality and craftsmanship. Really happy Jeff Loomis decided to put out a guitar w/a fixed bridge. This is my 5th guitar from Sweetwater (Thanks Cliff Hackleman!!) and it very well turn out to be my favorite.
