Tap Into the '70s Jag Mystique — Affordably

The Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar solidbody electric guitar gives you an authentically styled Jag with all the trimmings, at an amazing price. Take it from Sweetwater: you'll love this guitar's comfortable and lightweight offset-waist body, easy-playing 24" scale, dual-circuit switching and controls, floating vibrato bridge, and eye-catching classic finish. Squier has armed the Classic Vibe '70s Jag with a pair of Fender Designed pickups that ring out with immense chimey tone and can get nasty when you push 'em. The Jaguar has long enjoyed a cult-like status; now you can affordably tap into that mystique, with the Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar.

You're in for a treat when you take the stage or record

When you take the stage with the Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar, you're in for a real treat. With its offset-waist body and colorful vintage finish, this axe not only gives your fans something eye-popping to look at — it also sounds stunning, thanks to a pair of Fender Designed '70s Jaguar pickups that serve up a broad range of tone, from crystal cleans to gritty grind. This Jag's sound is enhanced by its poplar body, while the lightweight, offset design makes short work of your marathon gigs. But don't think of this Jag as a stage-only axe. Those very same sonic and ergonomic qualities also make the Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar ideal for spicing your recordings with scrumptious, unique six-string textures.

Tone and playability collide in this vintage-inspired hotrod

Speaking of tone, Squier has spec'd their Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar with a pair of Fender Designed '70s Jaguar single-coils, routed through the unique Jaguar switching system — which includes comprehensive preset control over two distinct circuits. This produces a superb array of tone colors from crisp and clear to warm and chunky. You'll appreciate this Jag as a lead instrument, your high-speed runs facilitated by 6105 Narrow Tall frets and a 9.5" radius Indian laurel fingerboard. You'll soon discover lead-playing abilities you never knew you had. Comfort? The Jag's offset-waist body design — radical when it was introduced — fits like a glove, whether you're seated or standing.

Squier Classic Vibe series: hot mods of classic Fenders

Squier's tapped into something really cool with their Classic Vibe series — hot mods of classic Fenders, all sporting top-shelf materials and components, with primo fit-and-finish. If you're a guitarist or bassist, you'll likely agree that vintage Fender guitars and basses are heavily lusted-after items, so it's great that Fender, in their infinite wisdom, have set their Squier subsidiary free to create hot-rodded and affordable versions of the classics.

Great guitar

I hear alot of people saying that it needed a setup, out of the box. This is my first new guitar, and it was also out of the box already, when I was looking at guitars at a small local business. I'm not sure if it already had a setup done, because of this. That said, I enjoy the way it plays a great deal, and it is absolutely gorgeous, as well.I will probably have a friend set it up, eventually. The intonation is a bit off,and both high and low e strings sometimes jump out of the saddles. I understand that this is a common jaguar problem in general, and it isn't really an issue, as I'm not playing out or anything like that. I find the frets very smooth on the neck, also.Which is an issue I've heard others having in reviews of this guitar.I enjoy the pickups very much, as well. The switches were confusing, at first, but there is info on fenders website that explains the electronics in detail. My only other gripe, is that I've tried everything, short of banging the trem arm with a hammer, and I cannot get it to stay in place. I may actually try with a hammer, but the trem isn't really a deal breaker for me either.

It's rad

I love it but the only problem is that the tremolo arm makes a audible pop through my Amp so it's making it hard for me to do glide guitar techniques.

It's a Jaguar- blues lawyers need not apply

Look folks, this is a Jaguar. It looks like a cross between furniture and a rocket ship. It's a little rickety and the trem is goofy AF. The pickups are wild and rowdy. You don't buy this guitar to playing artless wanker *** middle age man pentatonic blues lawyer garbage like Joe Bonnamassa or whatever, you buy it because you love Rowland S. Howard, you worship Johnny Marr, and you want to play sloppy AF like Kurt Cobain. This is for shoegazing and noise making, not "creamy" boomer tones. This isn't a precision manufactured superstrat. It's a -machine- but it has more heart and soul than you'll get in a $5k reliced whatever the %#?!. This is the kind of guitar that inspires you to play and play -differently-. Squier Classic Vibe guitars are a tremendous value, and if you want something close to a vintage Jag that's actually affordable for a non-working musician, this is it. Ignore all the online guitar dudes going on about break angles and neck shims, forget all the whining from folks who got into that maybe just needed an quarter turn action tweak before they huffily sent it back because it didn't sound like the voice of an angel- this a great guitar and Sweetwater is great place to buy it.

Great guitar!

Great guitar, especially for the price. The on board tone switches give the guitar a wide range of sounds. Lightweight and good body fit. Highly recommend.
Also, love Sweetwater's website. Gives tons of information and pictures from multiple angles. If they have multiple guitars of the same item, really love that they give you the serial #s and you can pick from and compare each guitar. This is especially nice when choosing between stained finishes. My sales engineer, Peter Turner, was very helpful, patient, and thorough.

Couldn't ask for more.

Just thrilled with this 3 color sunburst Jaguar by Squier. It is outstanding to behold.
I played it for a couple hours, no problems; the action is such that I won't be needing a setup. That's nice 'cause I save some money. Today is July 8th and I ordered the guitar about four or five business days ago. Arrived on time, like the sales rep. said it would. I look forward to playing this guitar more. I originally wanted the black Jag, but it was temporarily out of stock, so I started looking at the sunburst. I noticed that at Sweetwater you could choose from a few different serial #'s and get the exact guitar in the picture. I looked over four different Squiers and chose the one I thought had the best wood grain, then bought it.
But what really made me shop here was the 55 point inspection Sweetwater does on guitars over $299.
This model, the 70s Classic Vibe, which came out in 2019, offers all the tonal nuances that I want. It took about 15 to twenty minutes to figure just how the switches and knobs work. Now I'm a pro! I recommend this guitar to anyone beginner or seasoned player. If you're like me, you'll love it.
