Delivers Leo Fender's Long-lost Trem Effect

The JHS 3 Series Harmonic Tremolo is the company's take on Leo Fender's long-lost trem effect. Rather than using variable amplitude to achieve its pulsating sound, this stompbox employs dual-band filtering and LFOs to emphasize high and low frequencies in a rhythmic, alternating pattern. The Harmonic Tremolo is a cinch to navigate, thanks to intuitive, top-panel controls that enable everything from classic tremolo sounds to wild, Vibra-Chorus-like textures. You can dial in the rate, volume, and depth of the tremolo effect with the guitar pedal's three knobs, while a Type switch toggles between standard and harmonic tremolo modes. The 3 Series Harmonic Tremolo offers a trem effect unlike any other. If you feel like your pedalboard is missing that special something, this budget-friendly stomp may be just what you're been searching for.

Easy-to-navigate controls

Like the rest of JHS's value-conscious 3 Series of guitar pedals, the Harmonic Tremolo is a breeze to navigate, thanks to its intuitive, top-panel controls. The Rate knob controls the rate of the tremolo; left is slower, right is faster. The Volume knob controls the overall volume of the pedal; left is less, right is more — here at Sweetwater, we're surprised by the amount of volume the Harmonic Tremolo delivers. The Depth knob controls the depth of the tremolo; left is less, right is more. Lastly, the Type switch toggles between standard tremolo (up) and harmonic tremolo (down).

Reviews

Real Fender style term!
Really flexible. Quiet too. Great swampy Pops Staples sound. Permanent spot on my pedal board.
Music background: Amateur hack.
Harmoic tremolo
I love it does both tremolo and unvibe fantastic . I put this one on my small pedalboard. I will purchase another for my larger pedalboard as well.
Music background: Artist level pro musician
Got this as an experiment
I got this to see what a harmonic tremolo sounds like. I like it! On low settings it reminds me of a phaser/univibe. I guess they all kind of overlap. And having a regular tremolo at the flick of a switch is cool to compare.
Both the trems I love in one package
I bought the JHS Harmonic Trem to compliment a Quilter Superblock US amp and have a real BF Fender replacement setup. In "harmonic" mode the JHS Harmonic Trem does a spot-on impression of the early-60s brown Fender tremolo, with its watery, phase-y pulsations. In "normal" mode it's a great version of the standard tremolo, which is still the mode I use the most. The volume control is a big plus; most tremolos work by reducing volume in pulses, resulting in a net drop in volume. With the JHS Harmonic Trem, you can just boost the volume when the effect is on, perfect!
Music background: Pro and semi-pro for 50 years
Harmonic Trem - pretty much a 2 in 1 pedal

I have an old Boss Tremelo/Pan, but was picking up a faint clock noise, even bypassed, probably the daisy chain p.s., I also have a Cmatmods Tremoglo, which has a level, so it can be a straight boost, but it is weak in the depth dept. I needed a potentially strong ( not unrealistic choppy ) tremelo, for a song for church, so I gambled on this JHS Series 3 trem. pretty much so I would have the sound I wanted, for said song. What sold me was the dual-mode of this pedal. You can dial it easily to be a pseudo univibe, too. I am very pleased with this pedal. It is dead quiet, it can boost, the regular trem sounds realistic, the harmonic mode dialed right does sound like the old Fender amp(s) that had that circuit. For under $, this is a great pedal I know I can depend on to bring whatever tremelo sound I need, quickly. Great deal - get one.

Music background: currently church player 18 yrs now, coverbands my whole life, old, picky guy.
