The combination of a bird’s-eye maple top and a black limba body supplies resounding roots that fuse the mahogany-like rich, harmonic embers of black limba with the note-separating brilliance and articulation of bird’s-eye maple. In the neck, black limba is joined by purpleheart for a powerful 5-ply assemblage, melding the latter’s sonorous projection, enlivening trebles, and potent basses with the very same properties that make black limba such an excellent choice for use in the guitar’s body.
