Super-stable Octave Pedal

Take the impressive octave-up effect from Pigtronix’s Disnortion, expand its capabilities, and you have the Octava V2. Achieve violin-like octave-up tones anywhere on your guitar's neck, thanks to the onboard lowpass filter. Stable intervals (octaves, fourths, power chords, etc.) yield all sorts of musical grind, while other intervals result in interesting ring mod-like textures. Goosing the octave circuitry with the pedal's variable drive circuit generates an array of harmonic textures, and if you want to replicate the original Disnortion's full-wave rectified distortion, the Octava V2's switchable fuzz circuit delivers. This pedal is highly tweakable — use its Blend control to mix its drive, octave, and fuzz effects with your dry signal as you see fit.

Added capabilities for added flexibility

If you like Pigtronix's Disnortion, you'll love the Octava V2. Drive, Fuzz, and Blend controls have been added to the original pedal's two-knob design, providing you with added power and flexibility. At Sweetwater, we've had a blast tweaking the octave circuitry's harmonic response with the variable drive circuit on this pedal's front end. The octave-up effect is wired in series before the fuzz circuit, allowing you to re-create the devastating distortion made famous by the original large-format pedal. And you're in complete command, thanks to a Blend control that allows you to create a wet/dry mix between the drive, octave, and fuzz effects and your dry signal.

Pigtronix Octava V2 Features:

  • Expanded version of the Pigtronix Disnortion pedal
  • Analog octave-up effect with switchable high-gain fuzz
  • Onboard lowpass filter enables violin-like octave-up tones anywhere on your guitar's neck

  • Tweak the octave circuitry's harmonic response with the variable drive circuit on this pedal's front end

  • Blend control creates a wet/dry mix between the drive, octave, and fuzz effects and your dry signal

Reviews

Amazing Pedal.
I love this pedal. I tried a few distortion pedals, MXR, RAT, Big Muff, but this one did the trick. I didn't realize how cool fuzz sounds vs distortion. I wanted a more garage sound. The octave adds so much to it and you can blend in the fuzzed up sound with your original tone.
An amazing and versatile pedal!
This mini-pedal is really outstanding. You get two pedals in one: A very tweakable octave overdrive and a nicely-voiced fuzz that can have any degree of octave added. I use it both ways and it sounds excellent. It doesn't leave my board.
Pretty Versatile
I originally got this strictly as an "as little space as possible" fuzzy octave pedal for my main board.
Only used it for a couple of tunes per gig. So, it got kicked off.
Lately, I added it to a mini board I'd built up for acoustic/electric gigs. For no octave blended in raunchy med gain duty.
And, because I didn't wanna buy another pedal for that duty on the mini board.(Mini Timmy for the low gain work.....)
Surprise surprise....the Octava works well for that.
So, this is for those that aren't overly boutiqy inclined that might have similar needs.
So far…it’s finger fuzzling.
I guess they really dig the tiny footprint it makes, but the finger fuzz button would be better suited as a stomp button. The low pass can act like a gate to a delay pedal when it's rolled back. I just got it recently and have yet to really have in inspire a need to use it much. I'm seeing how it fits in.

Tone is unusable! You get what you pay for!!
