Unbeatable Value
I purchased this chassis so that I could have plenty of space and room to develop my 500-Series ecosystem without compromise. After a good amount of time collecting the modules to fill the slots, I couldn't be any happier. The unit runs extremely well and powers all of the modules with little effort (including a 48v preamp) and zero noise. The unit even survived a 3 foot fall when transferring it to a new rack, when I accidentally let it slip through the gap. It protected the modules, and nothing was damaged. Just had to scrape a bit of drywall off the back haha!

The only negative I have with the unit is installing the modules is rather finicky, as there are no guide rails to easily align the connections. Takes a solid 15-30 minutes of trial and error to securely connect a module, but once it's in, it's in.

Would highly recommend this chassis to anyone looking to build an extensive collection of 500 series modules. Super hard to beat this unit at the price point.

Built like a tank. Maybe too much like a tank
This guy is beefy solid and I'm just talking about the rack. There is no power supply inside and it's still heavy. Which I like. It works very well and I like the powers supply being in its own case away from anything I wish to keep away from.
The link switches do feel a little cheap but they work. Just be mindful that it only takes a little effort or bump and they will switch.
My only think that I don't like and it's probably because of the GAPpre573 premier is that putting that sucker in the first slot was almost impossible. The Lindell people put the long socket I think a little too close to the frame and in my case with a big preamp case body it felt like I had to slide it in at an angle (first) and then I'm sure the motherboard for that preamp is being slightly bent. But maybe a fault of GAP. (I can't even get 4 GAPs to easily fit side by side in any 500 rack) But I feel that Lindell could've started the first slot over a few microns.
Other than that I have no buzzes or ground noise. It's just works and for the price it's nice that it even comes with DB25 on the rear. I would buy another for sure.
Good Vaule!
This is a great 500 rack.. it may not have a super fancy look but that wasn't a selling point for me I needed a 10 slot unit and this fits the bill. My gear was easy to mount and it's quiet no hums or hiss..Im very happy with this piece of gear..If I had one thing to complain about it would be I wish it had a power switch on the unit.. but I have it plugged into a furman power unit and when I need it I just hit the switch on it to power up my 500 rack..If you need a lot of slots but don't want to break your wallet get this unit..

Superb 500 Series Rack!
I purchase this rack a couple of years ago and I have to say that the construction and design are superb! The rack has an external power supply that first looks like not the best design, however, it is the best option since the power supply produces heat that it can potentially be transfer to the gear. By having an external power supply, the rack offers more space to have 10 slots which is certainly very convenient. Then, the body made of a 1/4 inch aluminum provides a very good cooling effect since the whole rack works as a "Heat Sink". I have never felt the top of the rack hot as other models with regular metal sheet with vents that dissipates the heat towards the top of the unit. Mounting the gear was very easy and the connectors on the backplane provides a very tight connection. I have used the whole rack full of gear and the power supply is not an issue keeping all the gear power on and working noiseless. Two thumbs up!

Not a chassis, but a tank 510 series.
I think this might be the best 500 series chassis. It's built like a tank. I brought it to Brazil in my bag, I got late to boarding at the plane and they didn't allow me to take my bag into the plane, because it was full. So I had to check it in. I spent my whole flight distressed. But after arriving and testing it, everything was working like a charm. It has buttons to feed a slot into another, it has xlr ins and outs and also db25 which is a must for me. And for less than US$. What? If I need one more 500 series chassis I know which one I'll get again!
