Not a chassis, but a tank 510 series.

By Thiago on August 18, 2023

I think this might be the best 500 series chassis. It's built like a tank. I brought it to Brazil in my bag, I got late to boarding at the plane and they didn't allow me to take my bag into the plane, because it was full. So I had to check it in. I spent my whole flight distressed. But after arriving and testing it, everything was working like a charm. It has buttons to feed a slot into another, it has xlr ins and outs and also db25 which is a must for me. And for less than US$. What? If I need one more 500 series chassis I know which one I'll get again!

Worth The Extra Dough

By Pete Anthan from West Des Moines, IA on April 24, 2022

The Lindell 510 is a terrific chassis at a fair price. Its build quality is more substantial than some less expensive units I've used. It's made out of extruded aluminum, not sheet metal, and the front module screws go into inset threaded sleeves, not just tapped holes in the chassis. That means it's way less likely you'll strip them while tightening your modules down. (That's happened to me on some el-cheapo chassis.) It powers everything I have, it's dead-silent, and all my 500-series modules fit and work great. What more could you want?

Best value on the market

By Rory Landt from GA on January 18, 2022 Music Background: 17 years

Being that this has an external power supply, it's a no brainer! This unit is as quiet as the other chasis' in much higher price points. you can't beat this value!

We have three, need I say more?

By Evan on January 16, 2022 Music Background: Engineer

Bought our first one a while ago when first venturing into the 500 market. After a while we decided to upgrade the studio with two more racks. We debated getting two more Lindells but were "serious now" so we went with a famous brand with fancy blue letters instead. Unfortunately those units could not provide sufficient power for even half our modules so they were exchanged for the the Lindells. Problem solved. They really are very comprehensive units regardless of the price. 10 slots, Db25 and XLR connections, feed switches, rack ears included, and a beefy 5A power supply. The only teeny issue is very occasionally the modules can be a bit tricky to install but other than that we have been very happy with them!

Love this product because it's simple, it only does one thing, and it does it well

Decent 500 Series Rack

By Ryan Mowdy from Oklahoma City, OK on April 9, 2018 Music Background: lots o' stuff

Granted I wouldn't really say this blows me away. After all, its just a 10 slot 500 series rack. But that being said, its a pretty decent one for the price. The external power supply adds a lot to the quality of it and well like all 500 series racks, its fairly simple to operate. Other than that, there really isn't much else to say about the rack. Obviously, if you pay more, you may get a better selection of features but frankly all you really need is a half way decent 500 series rack that WORKS. period.

Built like a tank. Maybe too much like a tank

By Sweetwater Customer from Orlando on May 16, 2023

This guy is beefy solid and I'm just talking about the rack. There is no power supply inside and it's still heavy. Which I like. It works very well and I like the powers supply being in its own case away from anything I wish to keep away from.
The link switches do feel a little cheap but they work. Just be mindful that it only takes a little effort or bump and they will switch.
My only think that I don't like and it's probably because of the GAPpre573 premier is that putting that sucker in the first slot was almost impossible. The Lindell people put the long socket I think a little too close to the frame and in my case with a big preamp case body it felt like I had to slide it in at an angle (first) and then I'm sure the motherboard for that preamp is being slightly bent. But maybe a fault of GAP. (I can't even get 4 GAPs to easily fit side by side in any 500 rack) But I feel that Lindell could've started the first slot over a few microns.
Other than that I have no buzzes or ground noise. It's just works and for the price it's nice that it even comes with DB25 on the rear. I would buy another for sure.

Good Vaule!

This is a great 500 rack.. it may not have a super fancy look but that wasn't a selling point for me I needed a 10 slot unit and this fits the bill. My gear was easy to mount and it's quiet no hums or hiss..Im very happy with this piece of gear..If I had one thing to complain about it would be I wish it had a power switch on the unit.. but I have it plugged into a furman power unit and when I need it I just hit the switch on it to power up my 500 rack..If you need a lot of slots but don't want to break your wallet get this unit..

Poor quality control

By Sweetwater Customer on June 9, 2023

This unit might be good if you don't get a lemon. I have had to return two of these for two different issues. The first unit had three stripped threads making secure mounting of the 500 unit impossible. The second unit had a bad output on the DB25 connector. Surely Lindell knows that QC is of paramount importance in this industry...
