Q: I want to use my guitar pedals with my studio gear and keyboards, and I also want them to run in my amp’s effects loop, which is line level. Most of my pedals can’t handle the line level and distort (not in the good way). Are there any guitar pedals that can handle line level?
A: Yes. There are several that can, such as the TC Electronic TonePrint series of pedals, which were designed to have plenty of headroom for line-level signals. Other TC pedals, such as the Nova Repeater can also work with line level. Then there are the Eventide “Factor” series pedals, which can be switched from instrument to line level operation.
Keep in mind, by using a re-amp box and a direct box/preamp in combination, you can use any guitar-level stompbox with your line-level gear.
