Pro-quality Portable PA with Wireless

Sporting 300 watts of efficient Class D power and a 12-inch low-frequency speaker, Samson's Expedition XP312w starts off strong as a great all-around portable PA for modest-sized venues. But that's just the beginning. Even with a powerful enough battery for up to 12 hours of continuous use, the whole Expedition XP312w weighs a mere 38 pounds. On top of that, you get a flexible 4-channel mixer with Bluetooth input, integrated wireless microphone, and other great perks.

Wireless onboard for total freedom

With its impressive integrated rechargeable battery, Samson's Expedition XP312w is all about cutting the cord. But they didn't stop there. Also onboard the Expedition XP312w is a Concert 88a Handheld wireless microphone system. This system provides you with up to 300 feet of transmission range, so you're free to roam. And Sweetwater sound techs love that Samson made the Expedition XP312w so easy to expand. There's an empty slot that lets you install a secondary wireless receiver, so you can grow your rig to meet your needs. What's more, there's a USB Wireless port onboard, so you can also connect an XPD USB wireless mic.

4-channel mixer with Bluetooth

Got a guitar? Got mics? Need to play backing tracks? No problem — the Expedition XP312w has it all covered. Its integrated 4-channel mixer accommodates mics, instruments, and more. Bluetooth streaming makes it easy to play backing tracks or simply stream music for the neighborhood barbecue. There's even Voiceover mode, which automatically ducks playback when you talk into the mic — perfect for emceeing and performing. And if you want to expand your system, the line output makes daisy-chaining your Expedition XP312w to other PA speakers easy.

Plenty of power to go

Fire up your Samson Expedition XP312w and hear exactly what 300 watts can do. Pushing its 12-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, this amp provides plenty of projection for modest gigs and gatherings. More importantly, it sounds really good. But that's not all — the Expedition XP312w can run entirely on battery power for up to 12 hours! So go ahead, take your Expedition XP312w camping, toss it down on the sidewalk, simply set it up in that cozy bookstore or coffee shop and don't worry about finding an outlet. You don't need one!

PUMPS

Following the last posters review, I went with it. It totally PUMPS. Crisp, clean sound in all ranges. Bass rocks. Easy knob EQ adjustment. Connected to Bluetooth immediately. I wish there was another XLR/1/4" input but I figured if I need that I could get a double input or something. Check out the size before buying as it is large and heavy which is how you get the great sound but not a tiny little portable unit. Still not too bad to transport w the wheels and handle. I tested the battery life and it lasted longer than I expected.

Happy customer

Crossfire Hurricane

This is a awesome PA It's one of the loudest ones I've ever heard and I'm not talking just some loud noise the 12" woofer kicks out some major bass and it can part your hair so you can actually feel this heavy metal thunder coming at you with the lighting sound of the Titanium Tweeters it's the knock out stone that trampled Goliath.

I've played side by side the Soundboks 2 and Soundboks 3, Bose Pro S1 and the JBL Eon speakers and not only did the Samson Expedition XP-312 hold its own it blasted them to shreds.

They have enough sound enhancements to cure any distortion they may come up plus I use the Poweramp player to stream my music with this speaker and it gives me the added 10 band equalizer that's built-in the application so it doesn't matter if Samson doesn't offer a application you can stack it on with your mobile device.

Now they can't be paired by Bluetooth and it lacks a TWS feature that should be a automatic assumption to have this built in the unit but they didn't do that but don't fret there's a way around this snafu get The Alto Bluetooth Adapter connect the one through you phone then connect a second adapter to your first adapter and sync in stereo.

Now if you daisy chain these speakers get the Fiio A3 Headphone Preamplifier and daisy chain each speaker and connect the preamplifier to the speakers and the phone this gives you a selection on the preamplifier for more gain or more bass at the same time adjust accordingly and you will not lose any power or volume with additional speakers daisy chained.

The only bad things I have to say is directed at the engineering department at Samson " Get on the ball and include features that are on lower priced equipment we are in the 21st century so start acting like the Jetsons because your department looks more like the Flintstones."

Don't let this stop you from buying this Goliath killer a few tweaks and hacks can get you battle ready.

Plus the good folks at Sweetwater will back your game so you can be a winner on your battle equipment.
