Mixing Is an Art

The Behringer Xenyx X2222USB analog mixer will wow you with its transparent-sounding preamps, "British" EQ, onboard dynamics and effects, and user-friendly layout. What's been left out here? Not much. The X2222USB even has a built-in USB/audio interface for effortless connection to your Mac or PC. Working with the X2222USB's intuitive back panel and user-friendly surface topography, you can patch up your show, whip up a mix, blast through sound check, and have a few minutes left over for a civilized meal before curtain time. Life on the road's easy with the Behringer Xenyx X2222USB.

Great-sounding mic pres

The Behringer Xenyx X2222USB is fitted with great-sounding, high headroom Xenyx mic preamps that Sweetwater audio engineers find hold their own against preamps in consoles costing considerably more than the X2222USB. You get a jaw-dropping 130dB of dynamic range, and a ginormous bandwidth extending from the subsonic to dog frequencies. You'll have a newfound respect for your mics when they're plugged into the X2222USB.

British EQ

The Behringer Xenyx X2222USB employs "British" EQ. What's up with that? Well, the EQ's on 70s British consoles were eminently musical, caressing your signal rather than jolting it. We're talking finesse. These highly sought-after holy grail EQ characteristics were the result of wider curves, lower Q, synergistic harmonic phase management, and general Brit engineering mojo. You could load on the EQ or make deeps cuts, all without incurring sonic acrimony. Happily, Behringer has emulated these delightful EQ (or should we say, "equalisation") characteristics in the X2222USB. Smashing.

Crank up the FX

Behringer Xenyx X2222USB features Behringer's latest 24-bit dual-engine FX processor. Armed with 16 editable, studio-grade presets, you get great-sounding reverb, chorus, flanging, delay, pitch shift and multi-effects. Use the Parameter control to tweak the effects to your heart's content. You can even enter time-based functions manually by pushing the Tap button in tempo with your music. With the Behringer Xenyx X2222USB, live mixing is an art.

Reviews

Love it
It's doing everything we wanted it to do. Looking forward to learning its full capabilities
A little misleading
Its a good product overall. However, it's a little misleading regarding its use as an audio interface. It will only send the stereo signal from the main/headphone mix. You cannot control tracks individually in your DAW. I'm keeping it because I can still use it to record band rehearsals for now, sending the mix to the DAW, and I'll eventually add a Behringer 1820 interface and send the 8 preamps from this mixer to that, then to my DAW.
Music background: My entire adult life has been spent playing original music on various instruments, guitar, bass, and drums, in bars and venues around the Texas area and recording at home.
Dw drummer!!!
Using this board to mix my drums at home works amazing!! I have no complaints !!
Treated like a king
Hi I'm Julian. My experience with Sweetwater. As of this June -2025- I will be 68yrs old. I'm not a working musician and I live on a very limited income.
At present I now have a full sound system, complete with effects and has more than adequate sound amplification, than my event projects would ever need. I actually had to make several purchases form Sweetwater over a span of a few years, for me to finally complete this setup. I couldn't of done it, without Sweetwater. I know that as a company it would probably be preferable for me to make just one complete purchase. But even so they still worked with me. As a matter of fact (and since I don't know if I can to anyone's name. I'll do this) D. H. My tech supporter/advisor and more, provided me with not only options. But best solutions, so that by the time I'm able to get another unit it would not be obsolete, due to technology advancement,
It made no difference weather or not I'm a pauper. With Sweetwater, I'm treated like a king
Great Price and a Great Mixer For Playing Shows With Your Own PA
Definitely worth the price! Still getting used to learning this thing but overall, if you're looking for a mixer, Behringer makes some great quality stuff at a decent price. As always, thank you Matt Brooks for your help!
