Beautiful Sound Representation!
I've been working with live and studio music for over 10 years. So I'm not just some "Joe Schmoe" telling you about something they really like. These headphones genuinely are some of the best headphones I've ever heard music on. they represent the music EXACTLY how it was intended to be heard. When you put them on It feels and sounds like you're in a well treated recording studio. They do not have a deep low end and I think that is how it should be! Don't get me wrong, the low end is there and represented very well! These headphones seem to focus on true sound clarity. And they do it very well! Whether you're just starting to mix music or you've done it for a while, you will not regret purchasing these.

Warm Audio Mid Grade Special

It's Warm Audio. Not the best. Not the worst. Built quality looks super nice, but the material is super thin. Sound quality is sub par. Heavy build up in the low mids. These headphones claim to produce up to 30khz but really the high end in the phones are not really all that clear.

Ended up sending back and getting another pair of the m50x by Audio Technica. Well worth the extra bucks.

Good headphones - Terrible for smaller heads
I bought these to replace my MDR-7506 pair which are pretty "ringy" and somewhat limiting in frequency response - these having a great range. And, I really want to give these 5 stars, but it seems they didn't accomodate for smaller heads. I have two of these - one for me another for a family member. These suit others well ("average sized" heads) but do not work for me. These only really seal well on one side (wire side) and I can't for the life of me get a proper seal with these since there's little to no tension from the headband - which makes sense for comfort, but even a small amount of tension would've gone a VERY long way for these to seat properly.

To actually achieve the seal I need, I'll have to strap these to my head - an avoidable design flaw - or dremel out a small amount of material on both sides to get the drivers to pivot into a properly sealing position. The material that needs to be removed is the base of the arch/pivots. I've managed to make small divots at those spots trying to get these to sit on my ears. This can be fixed by just making the housings (black plastic pieces covering the screws) 5-10mm thinner. It's really unfortunate because these sound really nice but I shouldn't have to either strap these to my head with a string/band or remove material from it - hence the removal of two stars. Obviously, I can just do either of those, but in principle I would have liked to be able to use these straight out of the box. It's very disappointing because these sound pretty nice for the price either on-sale or not, and I've tried to fiddle with adjusting them, which did not really help.

That said, there is nothing to heavily complain about in terms of response or other technical aspects, these sound pretty flat and detailed, and seem to replicate sound pretty well with almost no mudiness from the drivers bouncing back from heavier sounds - quite snappy. The highs leave a bit left to be desired but that may just be me being used to brighter sets. The bass response is also surprisingly quick and "tied in" to the overall sound of these, and again, does not muddy the snappy feel from these drivers. I will say, the soundstage is a bit tight, not like other headphones I've tried - it's oddly "monophonic", as if the "side channel" just isn't really all too present. Very interesting as the MDR-7506 by Sony is pretty bare-bones compared to these yet has a wider feel, somehow. These are all just nitpicks and can really just be something you could get used to, or simply just preference outright.

I would wager my relative would give these at least a four-star review, given those actually do fit them. This review is more of a "know before you buy" kind of thing. I certainly wouldn't refund these or attempt to return them (regardless of whether or not I'm able to at this point - which I am not) as they are very nice sounding, but if I knew ahead of time I wouldn't have gone with these.

Very poor Quality Control on these bass heavy phones.

When I first got these Warm Audio headphones, the coiled cord would not lock into the phones (the straight one was fine), so Warm Audio had to send a replacement. The phones themselves were a little less comfortable than I would have liked, but I haven't had a pair of phones like this so I wasn't sure what to expect. As I use my phones primarily for video editing, the unexpected bass-heavy response of these phones was, for me, problematic.

Then, in less than 60 days, the vinyl covering on the pad started to split. While I know these aren't the most expensive phones out there, they're still over $, and for that I would have expected better quality control.
