Add Guitar Effects to Your Voice or Acoustic Instrument!

Radial's Voco-Loco is a foot-controlled effects loop that lets you integrate guitar effects pedals into your vocal or acoustic instrument sound. Whether you're a singer or horn player, it all starts with Voco-Loco's high-quality mic preamp. 2-band EQ lets you add warmth and shimmer. The signal then goes to your guitar pedals via a transformer-isolated hi-Z effects loop with individual send/receive controls. A tone control on the return path lets you tweak your effects, while the blend control lets you mix the original dry signal with your effects. Why should guitarists have all the fun? Upstage 'em, with Radial's Voco-Loco.

Easy to use and get amazing results

Plug your mic into the Voco-Loco's XLR jack, hook up your effects pedals using standard guitar cables, send the Voco-Loco output to your mixer, choose which effects you want on, and and you're ready to rock. You activate the loop using the footswitch on the right. The other footswitch does double-duty as either a mute switch to turn off your mic between sets - or as a 100%-wet switch when you don't want any of the dry signal. If you've ever plugged a mic straight into guitar FX pedals, you've likely been frustrated by sound-quality issues and lack of control. Voco-Loco changes all that by preserving the integrity of your original signal, while giving you the control you need over your effects. It's a brave new world!

My Solution For Adding Pedal Effects To A Flute
I play the flute.
I purchased the Radial Voco-Loco to replace my previous set-up of a TC Helicon CorrectXT and a Boss VE-20 vocal effects dual pedal. After years of using this set up I decided I didn't want pedals with internal menus, like the VE-20, because when I'm on stage I don't have the ability make quick adjustments on the fly. I was also getting some strange flute related artifacts through one of the pedals that pushed me to upgrade my board. The Voco-Loco allows me to mute, play dry, or through an effects loop, and quickly adjust a settings knob up or down.

This is a small pedal board with a StroboStomp mini, JHS Whitey Tighty compressor, and two reverbs. I'm using a wireless DJI Mic Mini (strapped to my flute) as my transmitter while the receiver plugs into a 3.5mm XLR to female converter input. The Voco-Loco output is via XLR to an amp array or a PA. The effects loop is 1/4" TS out/in with separated volumes for send and receive, with a tone control and an effects loop mix dry to wet.

This is exactly what I was looking for to revise my setup. The Voco-Loco runs on a 15v power supply (included), but if you wanted to run it from a power module you could feed it 18V. It will shorten the life of your pedal, but only after several years, according to Radial.

Radial has been my go-to for solid, clean/clear DI boxes and other gear. Worth the money. Highly recommended.

Radial Voco-Loco for Violin
This preamp works great! We're using it on a violin with an Audio-Technica pro 35 and love how easy it is to use and the flexibility it provides. Initially we were just looking for a mute pedal, but then we found this -- It's a very clean preamp that also allows us to add reverb/delay pedals to the violin's signal chain with a phantom power mic. Very sturdy, quality piece of gear!

Just what I've been looking for
I'm using this to run a Sennheiser dynamic microphone through some boutique guitar pedals and it's working great to boost the mic signal without adding noise and gives me more control over how I mix the effects in. Feels like a sturdy beast.
Voco loco a great invention
It is awesome to be able to use my guitar pedal effects for vocals. It is ideal to have ton of control of how much wet and dry signal I send to the mix. It opens up great possibilities for vocals.

It does what it says. Its amazing. I use it for live performances, with some strymon timeline delay and bluesky reverb on the vocals. The sounds is fantastic. Good tone shaping ability.

Highly recommended

My only negative is the power, a bit tricky to get power from a standard guitar pedal power supply.
